Topo is leading the vote?
I think Topo is in front 5-4 against Flux.

Topo is leading the vote?
You said you didn't want to lynch them because they wouldn't provide much information. It has nothing to do with trusting or distrusting. You even said that Xam is being scummy when we questioned but he is on the list.
How in the world do you read that in what I said? Is this your next swerve attempt to keep the conversation unfocused?
...in what I said? Explain that first. Then I was going to reiterate that I don't think total distrust is a good strategy in a "uninformed majority vs. informed minority" game.

Why is anyone there? Those are the people I guess I might say I town-read the most, but at the same time I don't necessarily think they're town. They're just the ones I want to see flip the least, and I think lynching any of them would be a mistake.
Xamtheking is relatively suspicious for reasons I stated before, but it's not enough for me to want to lynch him more than others, and this focus on how unorthodox he is playing is pushing me in the opposite way than it is for others.
"Good vibes are a lie. Bad vibes are a lie." -> All vibes are a lie -> everyone lies. That implies distrust in what everyone is saying, which calls back to my argument about the trust/distrust balance in a mafia game.
Quoting the reasoning again, ok sure, you didn't say anything about information, my mistake. The point though is you did some weird double speak here "I town read them but I don't"
Well...
I say let votes be votes.
No, that is not what I meant.
So many times people point to "this is obviously scummy play!" as a reason for a lynch in the early phases, and then that person ends up being town. The people who end up being scum? They're the ones who give off the good vibes or the ones who give off the vibes leaning in that direction. They have the allies, the knowledge and the cautious attitude to pull it off. Not to mention that their entire win condition revolves around that, and less so for town players.
I wasn't saying "everything is a lie." I was saying "the opposite of what people the majority tend to think is true."
Well...
I say let votes be votes.
Yep. It's more like I think lynching them at this point in time will result in a town flip due to the way they are playing and from the information we currently have. As time goes on, however, my stance on them will change and they will become more suitable for a lynch.
I'm inclined to believe that it was a misunderstanding in the rest of the semantics issue that we were having. Topo hasn't done anything else scummy imo. His first post when he got back yesterday had a lot of well reasoned logic and defense to it.

Just to make sure this doesn't go unnoticed. What is this? No comment on the current votes?
Are you kidding me? Kark, be so nice and tell them that the bat computer stuff is nonsense.
Well all I saw in that post was Topo with his hands up while he was being beat down in the corner, but if you think that it's enough to let Topo go, be my guest. I'm not gonna follow, though.
This is a weird post. They will become more suitable for a lynch. As if there is no way that they can become less suitable. It can't be so easy that you are covering for teammates in that list but there is a disregard in this post for, trust I guess, like Fire is saying. You are positioning so hard that you trust no one.
Well, I think calling Mazre's D1 actions a "gambit" is really reaching. Claiming you're an ordinary on D1 is nothing to write about, especially in this current environment where votes are flying around and someone is already roleplaying Batman.
What I think is that people saw Mazre's appearance on the Batcomputer scum list as a tiny green light to keep pushing the topic.
Can a player become more trustworthy in my eyes when I've already said I don't want to see them lynched? It only goes downhill from there if it isn't constant. Nothing is 100% unless they're a Princess, so I'm treating things as such. It's not relentless doubt, like you're trying to portray it as.
This is 100% honest. I care so little about your bat computer that I forgot Mazre was even a bolder. It's not much of a gambit and it's extremely easy to show up later and post a little sheet showing who commented on it and who didn't but it did breed discussion and probably with less collateral than your bat computer since we now have at least one sheep on Topo based only on your list.
Let sleeping sheep lie, then
We've only got 2 hours left, so if someone wants to try and save themselves, we're getting close to that time.
That means it's also time to get your bets in, guys and gals! Here's where my money's at: Flux will continue to wax philosophical with Sorian, the sheer boredom of it all will convince people to stick with El Topo based on read list semantics and batcomputer shit, and ultimately the Topester flips town! This'll be quite a show, folks!
I'll throw my money on that bet as well!
Can I double your bet with my own money?
So you expect that Topo is town?
I know that's how Day 1 seems to go in every game on here. He's probably the doctor.
I'm not asking how games seem to go. I'm asking what you think. I asked earlier and you said it was possible but your money (figuratively) is that he isn't scum?
I know that's how Day 1 seems to go in every game on here. He's probably the doctor.
It's more likely that he's scum than Mazre or Flux is. Odds are we're all just wrong because it's Day 1 and he's just an uninterested vanilla townie, but I hope he's scum. Are you hoping to swing the vote onto someone else?
I would like some explanations on what you gain (and will do) when I'm revealed to be town, because all I've seen so far are excuses.

At this late stage, I think it would be irresponsible to swing votes especially since we've had quite a few say they were gone because of Easter or family or whatever. But you have Trigget have jumped higher on my list. You because you seem to be having an easier time hitting probable town and Trigger for that weak sheeping and actually using the bat computer as real reasoning for it. Sky should be going higher too but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and falling for into this bat computer trap with no reasoning behind it could be scummy or newbiness.
Hey, I'm not exactly fully trusting Karkador here. It is interesting and plausible enough to focus on one candidate who was already high on my scum list. Clearly demonstrating that Kark is an evil lying cat is on my list of possible outcomes. Of course, to answer El topo's question: sorry, but I can't disclose the answer to your question just yet. I think I should wait until Kark actually stands by the Batcomputer on Day 2, assuming you are lynched today. Eventually, be it in the wrap up or in the dead thread, I will give a full run-down on my logic from beginning to end. There are some crazy scenarios I have been considering that are even less likely than Kark being fully honest.
I am fully aware that history may remember me as a gullible idiot, but I am having too much fun to care right now.

Here is the post where I laid out my initial reasoning for my vote:Ok, let's try this. Can you post reasoning (or quote if you have already) your actual reasoning on Topo sans bat computer non sense? I've seen you say in both this post and your big one on testing Topo that he was already high on your scum list. Why?
This hear is the sum total of El topo's contributions to the game so far. Some fluff at the start, getting defensive from some early prodding by other players, what appears to be some inexplicable attempt to scare people off from making read lists, and a few vague assurances that he is paying attention to the thread and will post soon. None of it is particularly meaty.
Now, El topo went onto my potential scum list early in this Day phase because of his posts about read lists up there. I've noticed that a few other people here have gotten the same vibe about them too. I can't definitively say that El topo is scum based just on this, but we are creeping closer and closer to the end of Day 1. We now have less than 24 hours to make our votes, so I though that I should start making a more decisive vote for the day. So here it is:
VOTE: El topo
There are other people on my radar too, of course. Mazre's vote claim is highly suspicious, and has made me wary of him. Camjo-Z and Trigger have also been acting a little strangly in my opinion. And of course there are way too many people who have barely been active at all. However, El topo is the person who seems most actively scummy to me so far.
Here is the post where I laid out my initial reasoning for my vote:
I still stand by this logic. El topo's main contributions to the thread have been using some scare tactics early on against read lists and other forms of contributions, and he was very defensive against people prodding him. Most of his posts in the this thread have been entirely about defending himself from accusations, and he hasn't followed trough on various promises to contribute more. Even now, his last few posts have been fairly weak defenses, without even much attempt to highlight a good alternate target.
Sorian, I know that you yourself have been very suspicious of El topo. You've said yourself that you have no desire to defend him, even if he wasn't one of the people on your main list of targets. I think other people have been suspicious of him too. I don't think it is very strange to find his actions scummy and defense lacking.
I know that there is a decent chance that he isn't scum. I just think he is my best guess right now, and there hasn't been another candidate who has appeared that I've been sold on.
If you think that there is a better lynch candidate, I'm all ears. Though I think I've already said my piece about FluxWaveZ.
I'm obviously going back and forth on Topo. I was more skeptical of him just a few hours ago. Topo wasn't an interesting vote until Flux started picking up steam. I could pretend one is more well reasoned that another but both sets of votes have sheep on them (trigger and Xam specifically) but from my angle, it looks like the Topo vote grew easily to combat the growing numbers on Flux.
This is what happens when the only posts you look at are the ones that mention youI guess the timer changed? It had said the Day phase was ending at 18:00 EDT at some point.

I'm just a parrot that can type on a computerOoh, burn. Man you're clever.

We are at 6v4 leaning towards Topo (assuming Flux changes his vote to Topo to avoid getting lynched), so it'd be good to get a clear picture of how this vote is going to go down if the thread stays its course.
I'd be more willing to vote Flux, but will vote Topo if that's the way it's heading in the last half hour or so to avoid a tie, obviously.
Daylight saving going into effect fucked with the timers beforeWe are in the final hour.
