Has Shotty pulled this before? I thought it was corny just having thought this was the first time. Does anyone think he actually wont ever battle again?
I think Surf is done in February after his battle with Mook, allegedly. URL is spending that PPV money on Lux, Mook, Surf etc.

Yeah, Shotty said he was retiring after his battle with Daylyt back in 2013 I think. For what it is worth, I do think he means it this time, since his music is popping off. But I can see him returning eventually for a special battle against someone. Will probably be a one time thing though.

One of my favorite old Fresco performances. Further cementing the hype train. Rewatching it right now. He has a classic ass rebuttal in round two or three (pretty sure its 2) that I still think back on to this day.
Also his writtens are still crazy from 2011. Who do yall think Fresco should battle next? I think Fresco vs Illmac or vs Rum Nitty could be crazy.

Nitty would be cool. I'd go for that. I wanna see Nitty continue to take bigger names now though since he deserves it.
URL PGs: Dre Dennis vs. Scotty. This was pretty entertaining, I think it's worth a watch even if Dre Dennis isn't your cup of tea. Some great bars in here and Scotty is oozing charisma. I should have known when one of his strengths was listed as "Handsome" lol

Fresco has one of those styles that I think can work with almost anyone. I'd like to see Fresco and Shuffle-T go at it, and of course Tay Roc. The above are good suggestions as well.

I'll check it out, but im getting sick of Dre Dennis not gonna lie. I feel like I keep seeing him in pg battles and he just moves alot without really saying anything a lot of the time. He reminds me of ah di boom. Found him boring too. Im like this dude...AGAIN!
I bailed half-way into rd 2. I don't like Dre Dennis and I just do not care to see this guy. I heard some decent lines though. I tried lol.

Kannon spazzed. I've been watching him recently too, definitely underated.
I don't think Diz did anything but brand Math further as a high risk MC. Also IIRC the suing stuff never happened. The difference in their present situations is because Diz made the right moves to keep his name up + KOTD needs him. Math burned bridges at Smack and because he's been out of the game, people would rather get at who's hot right now like a Tay Roc. He should just do a small room battle with Ill Will on URL to clear the air and start gaining credibility.
I also don't think he lost the bully aura or whatever. It's part of what defines him and that will never change. Math has always been that dude, and it comes across in his material, and what he's done. He's still marketed that way and the matchups appeal to that.
IMO the way both MCs and fans turned on Math is disappointing to me. I find it crazy that people don't want to battle Math. Like, what? You'd be hard pressed to find someone as consistent as Math, he's probably second or third to Hollow in terms of how few bad performances he's had, and he's always entertaining (one of the best clowners around). Seeing him left out of so many Top 10 lists especially from the URL folk is crazy to me too. Like, on one hand I get it, there should be a zero tolerance rule for this kind of bullshit in the culture because it's among the most damaging things to happen since SM2. On the other hand, to take away all he's given us over the years is BS.

Really and truly I've never been a fan of Math Hoffa. To me he used to be one of those guys that was a good rapper on a track but a meh battle rapper. He used to stumble frequently too.

Don't Flop representative said Charron got slapped so hard security pulled guns on KShine because they thought Shine shot Charron.

I can make out everything he says, but the projection does get a bit tiresome.
Admittedly, I want to hate on him because dude has been kind of oversaturated for quite a while, but man, he is fairly consistent and almost always has some memorable line.
When he told Rex "you died on the same day as your nephew n***a!" I was like GOD DAMN. That line still pops in my head from time to time.

Pass has a super strong showing. He's always been one of my favorites and its good to see some hype building around him lately. Turns out all he needed to do was battle more than once every decade. Who knew?
