Battlefield 1 Early access,Road to Battlefield 1 streams (BF1 prior release thread)

Has anyone tried playing this with a controller yet? On PC I mean. Because of circumstances I can't really do Mouse/KB at the moment.

It has full controller support, including aim assist and being able to navigate the menus with a controller. However, it's still slow compared to KB+M, but with practice you can be competitive with it.

And sometimes people where getting banned.

If you are playing with a squad that talks to each other, you will be able to get a k/d ratio far higher than others because it will be a lot easier to communicate where the enemies are and where not to go. Players that don't do that will think they are hacking, but oftentimes it's just teamwork.

Everygame i did there was at least 5 ban for hacking...

Glad to have bought the game for PS4 but anyway i think the FairFight seems to work well since it's banning so many people.

I love when you're pushing a new point and you hear the whistles and men roaring. It's a very chaotic experience at times but one thing this game does well is the feeling of battle. It looks and sounds so damn cool

This, so much. It's incredible how such such minor sounds can have such an effect on gameplay. Hearing that rally cry as you run toward the next sector with your teammates is the highlight of this early access for me.

Man, I lost my shit when I dropped into a map (forget which one) and found I was actually playing as the Germans for once :)

I fucking wish I didn't blow my gaming budget for the month on Gears4 and Titanfall 2 :(

Then again, I'm probably gonna get the Storm Grey XB1-S anyway :D

So are the other maps better than the desert map from the beta? I love Battlefield games but I couldn't get into that map at all and it completely turned me off from the game in the beta.

Battlefield is rife with hackers, stop dismissing the possibility so casually.

Can you buy the Early Enlister Edition for PS4 on Disc in Germany?
All I see on Amazon is a download code or physical Standard Edition. :(

I'm watching a stream right now and is it just me or is the game too fast? i kinda prefer the slow pacing of BC2.

So I preordered the Ultimate Edition on PC a few weeks back and I also have Origin Access on PC or whatever it is called.
I know there is the Early Enlister shit coming out soon, but with Origin Access does this mean does this mean I can be playing the game right now and not lose any progress before it is released?

Feels good to come out on top of a match without using vehicles.

Gas grenades with medic is a recipie for high scores!

Yes, it's the full game.

I played up to rank 7 in the cod beta and since I'm now ready to talk about this horrible experience, which felt like meeting an old friend after a long time, only to find out he is now addicted to meth, I will buy the shit out of BF1. I let myself getting hyped up for MW remastered and I regret every second of doubt. They won't see my money without a stand alone and BF it is again.

Isn't unlocked worldwide simultaneously? Mine is going to be in a '10 am' others a midnight and so on. Or maybe that depends on the region of the store you bought it from?

People always use VPN i believe on the Origin store to play early. Should be the same with this.

While we're on the subject of WW1 I'd like to take the time to make a vanity post about my WW1 era tattoos :p

Don't mind the blood on the last one. My artist and I are working on more, we're both thinking a Rose of No Man's Land for the next one.

Yeah its sometimes crazy to understand that one guy with a gun it all started. Sure there was already tension and probably would have happened anyway. But still. Still also baffled sometimes about the weird things that happened really. Like the Christmas Truce in the beginning of the war. Where there was a unoffical cease fire and both sides you played football with eachother. Also when the Red Baron got shot down and got killed. The English buried him with military honor.

All Armies were still deeply rooted in the past, were armies would meet on fields, and most of the time you'd have clear victors. All of the basic training the first conscripts and volunteers got was completely inadequate. A fact that was true right up until the end of the war. It was a war fought with tactics from a bygone era, made obsolete by the technical and chemical advancements. Some of the first Austro Hungarian first charges in the East were done on horseback with sabers for crying out loud.

The chivalric virtues were mostly carried over by air pilots, which were mostly nobles and rich young career soldiers. They viewed their fights in the sky as a jousting match, and really most of the time the troops on the ground paid them little attention as most planes were so ineffective. Most planes had to fly so slow, and low to hit anything, that soldiers were able to lob grenades up to them.

The maneuvers you're able to do in BF1 with the planes would have ripped the real planes apart.

If you want to see crazy ridiculous tactics, look up the Austrian Mountain fortress in the Dolomite Alps... I was there up in the mountains, the dug out caves, the artillery they carried up there. Insane efforts.

@nuclearaddict.... wow that's dedication. Any reason for the fascination with that particular iconography?
