Battlefield 6 is being revealed Summer 2025

All I want is BF3 with BC2 levels of destruction and find it tough to believe that cant be done on today's hardware. They need to prove it though, this series has been woke dogshit for years.

What made 2042 woke.
Granted I didnt much like 2042 but i didnt get woke vibes from it.
Really disliked the operators cuz id rather just have classes.

And if you mean the BFV trailer if you actually played the game, you know there was like zero women with cricket bats and prosthetic limbs in the actual game.

BF1 was some hard shit, the best atmosphere the game has had quite possible the best atmosphere of any online shooter save maybe Hunt,
BF4, BF3, BC2, BC1???

This game's got some crazy marketing happening on the border of India

I feel I've been in an abusive relationship with BF. I keep wanting Bad Company's MP but keep getting lied too over and over again.

Please be good... PLEASE.

On one side, it looks solid, atmospheric and fun... on the other side EA

Come on... PLEASE YOU HAVE TO BE GOOD!

It's fun as hell. 128 battles can be insane.
They were insane but they took them away, regretfully.

I'll be there day one. It's going to be glorious.

Even when they have shitty releases (all of them except maybe 1), I still manage to have some fun. It's the only shooter of this kind that I like for some reason.
The leaks look pretty promising too.

I don't think it will be worse than 2042, TBH (although I do like 2042).

BF1 was the beginning of the end. It had barely any weapons for instance.

The best BF is BF3 and 4. And BC2. I hope it goes back to this modern warfare style.

Here's hoping to being a random soldier with no special gadgets of their onw in the middle of chaos.

From what I'm hearing in the testing phase right now, it's pretty fun. We'll see how EA does to ruin that.
Prediction: It'll launch with relatively positive reviews from Battlefield fans, then after a few weeks / months the player base will plummet and the vibe will completely sour.

Battlefield fans will, again, say "If only they made a new Battlefield but just corrected these 3 mistakes", not realizing the mold is the problem.

Bringing up previous entries? Let's forget those, have anyone looked at the shooter landscape today? I think a military shooter today is something dice can pull off, how many insane alien, looters, specific game mode shooters are out there now?

Yeah let's not forget what happened with the hype of BF 2045 and those crazy ass trailers with a jet fighter pilot ejecting out of the aircraft with a bazooka....yeah that turd turned out well didn't it. Game was literally unplayable for a year.

Say what you want about 2042, but that trailer was awesome. I twas filled with Battlefield Moments (TM). They actually dedicated a whole bit of it to the Rendezook.

So, it's really looking like a full reveal in June with a release date. I'm guessing a beta in September and release at the end of October or early November at the latest.

I remember the battlefield 3 trailer. Holy shit was that hype.

What cod came out that year? Like black ops 2 or something shit.

Bobby k from Activision tried to play down the trailer saying it looks like a good pc game lol .

MW3 was 2011 and ended up being a massive let-down.

BLOPS II was 2012 and imo sat next to COD4 & MW2 as one of the best multiplayers.

I have fond memories of the BF3 beta, particularly on the Paris map. It was staying pretty warm well into the latter part of the summer and I was doing a load of heavy gardening work for my mum. At the end of it I'd come in, tidy up, bring the PS3 downstairs and plug it into the living room tele, grab a cool drink, have the windows and back door wide open with a nice cool breeze coming in; all the more pleasing when you have that somewhat-pleasant ache from a hard day's work... then I loaded up the BF3 beta and played the hell out of it nearly every day afterwards (also had Renegade Ops & Infamous 2 in rotation). For my age at the time, I remember being totally content in that moment and thought these are the calm, simple times you'll look back on fondly. In terms of the times I was right, but I genuinely had hope that games would continue to get better and in that respect I feel I was way off.

Hopefully BF6 is a return to form.

Been playing BF4 for the past couple weeks. Been years since I played so I'm definitely rusty but man I have been having a ton of fun. Its still very active on PS4 (obviously also playable on PS5). Some good user servers are still up but will likely be shutting down as BF6 releases, might have to wait for a small queue but it usually doesn't take that long. Really hope BF6 delivers.

Cant wait to get hyped and be disappointed all over again
Nah, I'm pretty sure even EA can track franchise sales and player counts. IMOi all started going wrong with BF1. All others after that got worse and worse.

I have faith they can recapture the BF formula. What made the game great in the first place. Looks like some devs are getting it and going back to certain games roots, like Gears: E day. Can't wait for that one.

Hard to be excited for a game where a fucking rocket launcher does less damage to an infantry unit than a tank.
After seeing that happen twice in battlefield 4 I just loled and uninstalled.

RPGs (and similar) will one shot infantry in pretty much all the titles. I used to snipe with them.

My bet is on a delay to 2026. I played the closed alpha a month ago, and the game doesn't look ready at all.

Yeah, announcement would've happened already if this were coming this year. If they reveal by next month probably Feb-March

I know not the same crowd and all but once GTA6 got pushed they really wanted to make an Oct/Nov launch

I too agree it doesn't feel that close playing in the alphas though I had a decent amount of fun every time I play it

Watched a video from Shillup last week and dude said game development is a complete mess and they're probably moving the game release to 2026, BF is cursed, we'll never get something as good as BC2+BF3+BF4 any time soon

Does anyone really think this has even a remote chance of being good?!

I'd love to be pleasantly surprised but being hyped for BF at this point is insane.

Yeah. Knightime_X Knightime_X I think you were using them wrong. I used to do the same thing as R6Rider R6Rider and used to get infantry kills all the time.

I liked what I played of the alpha as well.

I'm still hoping for a Fall release. I really need a good military multiplayer FPS to play that isn't as "hardcore" as Arma as sometimes I want to relax.
