Battlefield 1 |OT| Make War Great Again

Really sucks that PC isn't getting a physical copy. I was going to snag it at Best Buy for $50 plus the $10 certificate and now I'm not sure what to do.

Don't go by the countdown clock. It's been wrong in the past. Even has updated mid-day. I'd go by what it says in the store which does say 12 midnight EST.
My early enlister digital version just says play on Oct 18th. The countdown is still showing the game will unlock at midnight PST =/.

Just preordered it from GMG. $45

*edit* Ultimate Edition isn't worth it to me right now. Seems like a total waste of money. First DLC doesn't roll out til around March and by that time sites like Gamersgate and GMG will have it on sale. I actually picked up the BF4 season pass for PC on Gamersgate for $24 a couple years ago. No way I'm paying +$60 for something I won't even be able to enjoy for another 5 months.

Ugh I'm so dumb. I thought I remember checking Best Buy and not seeing a PC version. Thanks guys. :D

(Edit) My local store has none for pickup on release. ;_;

Oh wow I had no idea. That would explain my surprise in the past though with a few games.... Hurray, 10pm gaming here I come!

Wait, im Mountain Time as well but this is the first time buying a digital game on PS4. So going by the timer on the home page it looks like itll unlock at midnight but it will actually be available 10pm tonight?!? If so that really is awesome cause normally I would get my games at gamestop where they have the games ready at 9pm.

The last gun unlock in the scout class looks insane and probably not in a good way.It 1-shot kills within range. I know it doesn't have a scope but there was nothing that pissed me off more than playing kids in COD who ran around and quick scoped. Most of that frustration may have come from the shitty bet code but still. What class is everyone going to be playing when the game comes out? I will probably sink a lot of my initial time into the medic class. It's the class I played the most in BF3 & BF4

Anyone got experience with moving game installs on Origin? I got a complete install on another hard drive but I need to somehow nudge Origin to recognize it.

I think all sniper rifles one shot kill as long as your target is at the appropriate range.

You guys keep saying its best since bc2. Im so excited. Sounds like the maps are a huge deal and that there are a handful of classics?

Its so refreshing for people to be praising maps.

Sorry if this has been posted in this thread already, but I have a question.

I'm only really interested in the single player campaign.

Does Origin Access allow you to play the full single player campaign? How long is the campaign? Can it be completed within the 10 hours for Origin Access?

Finished the campaign, was very impressed. Not ever been drawn to a BF campaign before but this one was very well done.

Definitely has some problems and isn't a 10, but the reviews coming in with
high 8s and low 9s
are totally justified.

Can't wait to jump in again tonight!

That's one of the lowest bars known to man.
Not really considering how great single player was in BC2. No fun allowed?

To be fair, having the best SP of any BF title "hands down" isn't that hard. Not too sure about Bad Company but BF3 and BF4 were both pretty awful.
I thought it was very clear that being better than BC2, if you're played it, is high praise..

Awwww yeah

Another Battlefield OT.

Gonna have pace myself for this one lest I suffer a burnout as I did with 4.
Poppycock! Lean into the burn! Plus, this BF is shaping up to be a completely different launch experience than BF4, and from my first impressions it will be a better game from the start than BF4 was after all the amazing work DICE LA/CTE did.

Edit: even BC2 wasn't anything special in that department. I heard BC1 was the better SP campaign of the two though?
I think the point is that being better than BC in general is good news. Of course that's one person's opinion.

That's the point I was trying to make..

Nope. Just two missions worth 2 gameplay hours for a duration of 10 hours.

Thanks.

I'm surprised I couldn't find this information on Origin, you'd think they'd list out the specific things you get with the trial on their own store.

I guess I won't be playing it for a very long time then, £49.99 is a lot of money for what would be me playing through the single player and touching the multiplayer and being reminded that I'm no good and won't play for me than a couple of hours.

$15 per DLC= 15x4= $60
So game+DLC is $130.

That's what they did with 3 and 4, as well.

Yeah I was looking into this, the total cost with tax is $142.33 for the ultimate edition. To get the standard edition plus premium pass will cost me a total of $120.43, in two separate transactions. So the difference in cost is 22 bucks, not big on the extras but maaan I think they got me here.

Plus I want to play with my friends on PC & PS4. Hrmm..

Was looking at trade in values and saw that GameStop is paying $2 for Battlefront, and $7 for Battlefield 4.

Please don't screw up Battlefield 1, Dice.

I'll play assault, medic and support and try to keep them at the same playtime. Will rarely or never use the scout class, I like to get into the action, not snipe from far away.

Decided to get the early enlister edition for PS4 although I'm picking up Titanfall 2 next week and my old Battlefield buddy is still playing Destiny. Hopefully, I get to play with some of y'all online!

The guy playing is pretty good as well.

Usually 12am PST / 3am EST.

Every game I have ever pre loaded on PSN has unlocked at 12am EST. Its unlocking on XBOX Live at 12am EST, but 3am EST on PSN.

Hell, right on the PSN store page it says "Play at midnight Eastern Time"
