Maybe it's just the contrast of this monitor... but isn't one foot set firmly on the ground while the other is in the air? I mean... he is running isn't he?border said:Is this thread supposed to be sarcastic? What with the corny picture of the guy walking on air...

You can delete the logos from the EAGAMES\Battlefield 2 Demo\Mods\BF2\Movies directory to skip them. Keep the bg menu & noise ones though. The only bugs I've experienced so far are the server screen and the HW sound thing (my shitty Audigy LS I gather). Seriously, this is like one of the least buggy demos I've ever seen. The previous two BF games were a nightmare at release time and pretty much needed immediate patching.Chony said:It's really good but it's glitchy and EA sucks (sitting through 15 logo intros plus asstastic server finding tools makes it suck even more.
Still, a lot of fun though.

I tried the commander mode. Didn't impress me that much. Basically, it's shooting artillery and issuing orders people won't follow, right? Do people really follow orders? They didn't seem to follow mine, at all. And squads? Well, pretty much every server I went on had like ONE squad filled up with people, and that was pretty much it.ManaByte said:Uh, the commander mode and squads?

Umm.. did you leave menu.bik, menu_loggedin.bik & noise.bik? Cause I deleted everything but those and the game boots right into the login screen.ManaByte said:Uh, I did that and the game wouldn't boot up at all.

*Sorry, didn't mention the noise file.. but I didn't think anyone would delete it, cause it kinda doesn't sound like the names of any of the intro screens. Actually, it's probably the noise/static at the login screen.

Looks like it's planted on this air to me. Or he's in the middle of a really stiff, crappy running animation.
Either way, it just reminded me of the days when Morphix used to carpetbomb BF1942 threads with pictures of the game's many glitches and bugs.

There are no ammo or health supplies laying around. So how do you get the commander to drop you a supply, and how do you get a medic to fix you up?
In the old Battlefield, there were F1, F2, etc. keys that let you issue commands. I don't see that here.

Any game that requires a new keyboard is a no-go to me. Anyways, the game is cool, I'll try it some more when I get more time.ManaByte said:VERY useful

pestul said:I see no reason why it wouldn't.. it's been a documented thing for all the previous BF games. Sorry. :O
EDIT: I hope you don't have to re-download the game.. if you still have the install you can probably extract them from the compressed file. A reinstall is just as easy I guess.![]()
