Besides the Battlefield 2 information, DICE's earnings report made official what its release schedule accidentally revealed last November: that Battlefield: Modern Combat will be released for the next-generation Xbox in 2005. "At least two game releases are planned for 2005--Battlefield 2 for PC and Battlefield Modern Combat for Xbox, Playstation 2 and Microsoft's forthcoming platform," read the report.

AFAIK, Modern Combat is a different game from Battlefield 2...though it may be based on it and/or incorporate many of the same ideas.

edit - although your title is confusing me now...it's battlefield: modern combat, right? not battlefield 2: modern combat? And these screens are from modern combat? They look a bit less clean, lower quality, than the BF2 screens we've seen thusfar..

Ah, I see. I notice that in the screenshots link, but GS still calls it just BF: Modern Combat. That's a bit confusing!

edit - and I see now at IGN. Still, wonder why they changed it. I guess to push the idea that it's a "proper" console companion to BF2?

Looks interesting but it's a "bit" blurry isn't it? Are the screens from the PS2 och XBox version? Surely they can't be from Xenon/XBox 360/XBox 2?
