You are not giving a reason why you dont want this.Nope! This is not what I want in my Battlefield game. How do they keep messing it up every year? What not just listen to what the community want, like once.
Healing from a distance? Pre determined characters instead of classes? You are not giving a reason why you dont want this.
These are the classes that exist in every battlefield game since forever.
I was trying to remember if that was the case. I didn't play much of V at all. I personally would rather be my own character and pic different specs as I want to. I know everyone wants that sweet skin money. If I remember correctly named characters have existed in BF before. They are just a skin and don't impact gameplay but do have some kind of background.
This is what I don't want.I'm a bit confused, so if you choose a specialty are you forced to be that specific character then?
Agree completely. I think they are chasing the operator thing like CoD.I was trying to remember if that was the case. I didn't play much of V at all. I personally would rather be my own character and pic different specs as I want to. I know everyone wants that sweet skin money.

Love it.
I guess this is DLC fodder? Deluxe edition/DLC skin variants for existing classes.I'm a bit confused, so if you choose a specialty are you forced to be that specific character then?
Every year? If my data is correct the last BF was released on November 8th, 2018. See this is what happens when ignorance is allowed to have the power to comment. Also, the changes happen get used to it. At least it's not like COD.Nope! This is not what I want in my Battlefield game. How do they keep messing it up every year? It represents the BF playerbase lol.Legit lol'd at the grandma and grandpa characters. Why is everyone so old?
I think that's the reason why they put in "Portal" with maps & rulesets from previous games in BF2042.Nope, this is not the game I'd enjoy to play.
Try again, see you in 4 years.
I guess we have to wait but my expectation is that is only a skin. I never got any but I remember at least one character that was bald and wore an eye patch.I was trying to remember if that was the case. I didn't play much of V at all. I personally would rather be my own character and pic different specs as I want to. I know everyone wants that sweet skin money.
My understanding is that they still function like classes. I guess they just have voices and personalities? I don't know. I'm personally over the whole "hero" approach. But I feel like there's more to it here, unless we're gonna see a bunch of old lady and old man characters running around, lmao.Healing from a distance? Pre determined characters instead of classes?
Many more things but if this is what people want, fine.
Yeah, I think this footage is... really early? Some of the animations look floaty or stiff to me. I'm hoping for the best, but something about this makes me feel concerned, lol.Something about this game just looks "off". I can't put my finger on it.
I agree. That recon/sniper portion looked really cool. Felt very Battlefield-y. Just hoping for the best!I'd prefer not to be "a character" but the gameplay and class stuff looks pretty ace.
Lookin' pretty damn fun!
Yeah I mean it's not enough to stop me from playing it. I just would rather be a unknown soldier. If I have to be what ever skins are free or free that week then oh well.I guess we have to wait but my expectation is that is only a skin. I never got any but I remember at least one character that was bald and wore an eye patch.
They also came later in the life of the game so it might make sense why they weren't shown on the pre-release materials.
If this is so they better give us some options. It might be a minor annoyance, but if I want to be a certain specialty I don't want to be stuck with one character whose voice/attitude might annoy me.My understanding is that they still function like classes. Yeah, I'd really like to think they would. If I have to hear a person barking and talking the entire time, I'll absolutely hate it. I'm sure majority of the Battlefield community would. In some games that may work, but keep that in those games, some experiences just don't work with that.If this is so they better give us some options. Well tbf there are no classes in 2042. It's all specialists. You can run any load out you want now it's not limited to a specific silo of a classYes, that is an optional thing. You can very much make a custom character.
? You can heal from a distance in many BF titles and I have no clue where you got this "instead of classes" thing lol Where the fuck did you read that? What on Earth are you talking about?

personally im a fan of the more customizable 'classes' in battlefield. and I like specialist traits/perks. adds some flavor to the mix. they're clearly trying to ape part of the success of apex legends and put it into battlefield.True, that can still be formed as a class though, simply not in the traditional sense, as in you can just make a character that is set up with certain weapons, perks etc as you did in other BF titles (as what I'm going to do lol) I think a few BF had a class that was like that, where you can alter the load out differently, maybe I'm thinking of the Spec Ops class in Bad Company series
look at the bottom of the screenHow did the sniper know someone was behind them? Zero indication of that.
