Set amongst the shattered districts, streets and surrounding villages of a post-earthquake Tehran, Battlefield 3™: Aftermath depicts a continuing struggle for supremacy and survival amongst the devastation.

With operational capacity severely compromised the opposing forces must adapt and engage in vertical and horizontal urban combat amongst the dust and rubble with cracks and fissures in the terrain providing unexpected cover and paths to objectives. Additional support comes in the form of heavily modified troop transports and civilian vehicles specially adapted to deliver deadly force to the enemy.

If i hadn't bought premium already, that trailer wouldn't of convinced me to buy it. I don't really like the setting for it and the trailer was a bit slow.

Even though I have premium, I don't think I'll even download this.
Pretty much done with this game and probably the series as a whole.
Thinking of deleting the game completely actually. It should clean up 17GB from my HDD with all the shitty patches and everything.

Looks pretty cool. All of these expansions have been better than the vanilla maps, which... doesn't thrill me, but at least we got good maps eventually.

Glad to hear that Sleigh Bells is still engineering the sound.

All the DLC for Battlefield has been great so far, even the close quarter one that most people wasn't expecting to be good. Will keep an eye on this one.

Were DICE trying to compete with the cinematic likes of CoD and Halo trailers there? Seemed really out of place for them, and ended up as an awkward dull trailer. Stick to gameplay montages DICE, the game looks and sounds so good in motion that's all we need!

Any idea why Battlelog is down?

Couldn't give less of a shit about armored kill and close quarters. This is the first dlc I'm interested in since karkand. Will probably buy premium on sale now.

Why weren't you interested in Armored Kill? That DLC has some of the best Battlefield maps.

Call me weird but I like my vehicle combat to be in small bits. I like it when it's there and to have the opportunity, but maps where you're almost always screwed if you're not inside something bore me

Oh they might but by then BF4 will be out and BF3 servers will have been taken down.

Every fucking thread someone brings this up even though the only BF game to have servers taken down was Battlefield 2: Modern Combat (360) and that was shut down due to a lack of players. Can we please stop this bullshit?

BFBC2 still has servers up on PS3/360. By next year though they will surely be taken down.

1942 still has active servers.

This is a lot more interesting to me than AK was. I loved CQ for quick fixes but AK was far too vehicle focused for someone like me who can't drive or fly for shit and mostly plays a medic. Even as an engineer I felt worthless. CQ may have been less of a Battlefield style expansion but it went to prove how good the infantry play is. Afermath and Endgame will hopfully have a good mix of infantry and vehicles, which is where BF3 shines, instead of being lopsided.

if you havent unlocked the javelin armoured kill is hard as fuck as infantry.
although im now pretty boss in a jet, still cant fly a helicopter for shit though well i can but as soon as it comes to attacking a ground target i usually just crash into it lol

Well no, that's half the DLC.

2/5 =/= 1/2.

They're all right, but far too big. The best AK map is easily the snowy mountains, but even then it's too big for its own good. It's especially annoying when there are no vehicles around. Vanilla BF3 maps are still the best in my opinion.

Seriously? I play as support or engineer when I play AK, and when playing engineer I always use the first rocket launcher. No problems at all. It's seriously not that hard to aim. As a support you can also really easily take out tanks. The only big problem are the helicopters: a skilled driver can kill any infantry unit in the blink of an eye.

new weapons is always good! :D but yes, very odd trailer choice as it's just multiplayer maps, not singleplayer content like this was sort of implying.

Huh? Only 3 are out so far and there's going to be 5. Aftermath hasn't even been playable yet.

Im talking in terms of content. It's just a map pack. The fact they're focusing on that in the advertisement says it all, there is nothing else interesting about the DLC (if a couple of new maps are even that interesting at all).

So... What exactly do you want? Every DLC has had four maps, new weapons and one or several new game modes; this included. Some of them had new vehicles too. Personally the maps are all I care for. Who cares about a new weapon that's identical to the one you had before? The crossbow seems to be at least slightly unique. So yeah, if you don't want new game modes, new maps and new weapons, then what exactly is it you want for a multiplayer shooter in terms of DLC? You make no sense at all to me.

Chill out. It's EA, that's why i have that expectation.
