I took out a sniper on the skyscraper with the airburst from the low building adjacent to it. I'm sure I recorded it somewhere but it took something like 3 or 4 seconds to reach him after firing it.

Felt so good.

Awesome on roof campers in domination as well.

Airburst can't cover the entire roof if you're firing from below, and has very limited ammo. Refill off of an ammo box isn't very fast either.

Obviously airburst is better if you can hit the target. There were plenty of times in the beta an airburst wouldn't cut it where a mortar would have.

You'll notice that the rooftops were still full of snipers in the beta without mortars, regardless of the xm25. Mortars would have ended elevator camping quite quickly almost everywhere except C, judging from my bf3 experience. :p

Just got some information from someone on the BF 4 Development team about the map "Flood Zone". He gave me permission to post this. If mods want, I can prove the source:

Flood Zone - in response to a question as to whether or not the below screen cap from one of the recently released videos was the CONQUEST LARGE version:

I think Flood Zone looks smaller than it feels, although city maps are usually around medium size in scale. That video shows off of CQL, that is correct. I'd say the two flags on top of the roofs are pretty tight and intense, while the other three on the outskirts of the map are a lot more open for vehicle combat.

Keep in mind also that you're able to climb the interior of the buildings a lot more than on Siege, so a lot more players will be "swallowed up" since they're inside the buildings. You'll have fire fights from inside the buildings (through the windows) out on the flooded street, as well as to the rooftops.

I was worried about this map but it sounds pretty awesome.

I did not purchase the BF3 premium as at the time I was more invested in COD then BF3 (although I didn't purchase COD Elite either) so I didn't think it was worth it ... however now with the new gen I am skipping COD all together and am going to get more into BF4. I am on the fence about purchasing Premium BF4 for my PS4 and am wondering if it REALLY is worth it ...

If you enjoy the game then it is. The add ons for bf3 were all pretty significant in content, adding either new weapons or vehicles and some of the maps were the better ones in the game. None of the dlc felt like horse armor. You don't need to buy it now, just wait.

Premium is absolutely awesome.

Probably the best 'season pass' type investments that came out of that shoddy system.

I mean you get the maps early, double xp, and whole host of other bonuses.

If you're thinking about putting serious time into the game, then the value is incredible.

I think theres a 'practice range' mode, where you can try all the weapons and stuff.
Not sure how it works.

It says that requires dualshock 3 so its mostly placeholder info.

Sounds great, thanks. We're going to get direct-feed footage of this from various Youtubers on Friday and from the next-gen versions aswell. Finally.

Someone earlier did already and it got locked ASAP since it was questionable at best.

Those asking about reviews, we've yet to get BF4 for either PC or console. Talking to EA, they're supposed to send them "soon." I gather they'd want a day one patch applied first before anyone takes it for a spin in MP for review.

At least they do balance patches, unlike the CoD-series where they just go "Ah fuck it, we'll fix it in the next game", MW2 needed a fix for One Man Army + Danger Close + Noob Tube.
