I mean, I really love the GoW series (like, really, really love), but GoW and Bayonetta not even in the same stratosphere when it comes to gameplay and player agency. Stratosphere. Galaxy. Timeline. Dimension.
Again, I love me some GoW, but it's a comparatively a lot more passive and simplistic, with a stronger focus on giving the player a more constrained cinematic experience. The combat depth and variety of Bayonetta alone, man, I don't even know where to begin?! The creative and unique bosses with their various forms? The god-tier weighty animations for the bosses/enemies/Bayonetta herself, let alone so many different weighty animations for various weapons? Bayonetta is like being offered a delicious buffet and being told you can eat as much as you like, with any weird food combination you like. GoW is like going out to have a classy dinner with only three items being offered the menu. Both are great, but are offering the consumer different things.
