Actually, fiction is stranger than truth, in this case. That's a satire news site, akin to The Onion (hence, The Bunyion), that pokes fun at the LDS Church and BYU. This is a fake story--there's no Church-wide anti-beard campaign. But there is a dress code at BYU, and part of that dress code is being clean-shaven.

Anyway, thanks. I never thought of myself as a beard guy until this past growing experience.

I wish I could grow a beard. I'm cursed with fast growing neck hair, but no upper chin hair and my mustache grow thin and slowwwwww. I also have a circle on both of my cheeks where hair doesn't grow.

beard gaf: i need some good recommendations for beard oil and maybe a wax of some kind? the oil can be anything you guys recommend that can be bought from amazon uk etc.
in terms of wax, is that a thing? i know people use it for moustaches but i just wondered if there's anything that can be used to tame stray beard hairs? my beard is naturally wavy and so it'd be nice to be able to control it a bit.

any advice?

Ok so I'm going to keep letting this grow to see where it goes, kinda sucks it doesn't grow on my cheeks as much as I'd like. Chin area is also much thicker then the sides.

Any suggestions to straighten it out a little or am I stuck with it being naturally curly?

I think I'll try this month not shaving. We'll see if I can muster through the itchy stages. If I prevail, I'll post a pick at the end of the month with everyone else I'm sure.
