Because of DLSS, i'm still able to play newest AAA games with my 5 year old budget GPU thus delaying buying new PC. Anyone same?

DLSS is really a gamechanger

Im still on a 2080 and Im likely never going to buy another nvdia gpu because the prices are absurd.

Besides, how many games out there really need the latest gpu? We're well past that era.

I understand that as a general statement but since this thread mentions the 3060Ti, Nvidia frame generation doesn't work on RTX 30 series, only on RTX 40 and MFG is still a RTX 50 exclusive feature.

Yeah, you are right, NVIDIA frame gen doesnt work on the RTX30 series, but we can always use AMD frame gen on it

Yes and no, I feel like my rtx4070 is just keeping me afloat. I want to upgrade it but I don't think it's worth it yet.

DLSS is so good that I select Quality mode by default.

What do people think the tech is worth over the same card without it? Would you pay for ai upscalling as an upgrade?
Say $200?

This was the first time I skipped a new batch of GPUs.

Nothing is slowing down my 4090. Keeping this forever.

I'm still on a crappy 3070 laptop because I'm a broke ass peasant, but this shit helps stretch the hell out of what I can do with it.

I was deciding between an AMD card with better pure raster and a 3080 when I last upgraded. Went with the 3080 because of DLSS and don't regret it. It doesn't do frame gen out of the box, but I'll use mods to do AMD Frame Gen if I'm really motivated.

I could still buy games like Stellar Blade and Resident Evil 4 Remake with my old ass nearly a decade old GTX 1070 and surprisingly good frame rate on RE4 Remake too although me being on 1080P is why. I can't play things like Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, Space Marine 2, and FFVII Rebirth with good frame rates or in Rebirth's case I can't even play it at all. Don't even have framegen cause it's too old for it.

Planning on getting a new PC before with a 5060 ti but the combination of price and being happy with the games I have made me decide to stay with this PC for now still as I only really play modded Fallout 3, NV, Morrowind, Skyrim, and Fallout 4 all modded, Warcraft Reforged, and World of Warcraft.

Hope I can still play RE9 with good frame rate like RE4 Remake.

GTA VI, Witcher 4, and Half Life 3 would motivate me to get a new PC but I can live without those if I really tried. However Fallout 5 and Elder Scrolls VI are a must have for me so I'm definitely getting a new PC 100% when they come whichever comes first.

Hopefully the RTX 6060 would be great but if my old PC suddenly dies than I guess I'll go for the 5060 Ti 16gb along with a ultra 7 intel and 2TB SSD as a new PC.
