Budget GPU upgrade advice/question...Its worth right now?

So, this turned out to be the outcome of my story.

Amazon cancelled the order of the Sapphire Pulse RX 9060 XT; then, i tried to purchase an Asus Dual RX 9060 XT, and also nothing happened with the order....So i came up with a plan B and search on local PC Gaming Facebook groups for a 4060 ti 16 GB, and found this one for 450 USD with a local reliable guy, so took the chance with that one, which has been used barely, just a couple of months (i verified on GPU Z) ...Also upgraded the PSU for a Cooler Master 750 W certified.

Now gotta upgrade the Ryzen 5 2600, so i´m selling the GTX 1660 Super.

But even with the humble good ol´ 2600 i could get Cyberpunk 2077 running with Path Tracing enabled at 70/80 fps, on 1440p, with DLSS performance with FG.

Mario 64 Render 96 running perfect with RT.

Quake 2 RTX running 60 fps 1440p

HL 2 RTX around 40/50fps 1440p DLSS Quality

Doom Eternal with RT 1440p and everything maxed out more than 100 fps.

And will let you know more once i test more games and of course will update once i upgrade the CPU.

Sorry AMD, i really tried :(

Also i´m happy i didn´t gave my money directly to Nvidia (i love their tech, but they really have gone pretty much anticonsumer recently)

you didnt give money to nvidia but you bought an nvidia GPU.. what ?

just because you bought it off facebook, doesn't mean you didn't give them money directly really. someone else who is looking for a 4060ti will end up buying one new from the store or another nvidia card with the same price range. you are part of the circle whatever you paid to an aib, to nvidia fe, or to someone who bought it from an aib. its the same thing lol.

Also, this is just me. but I avoid ventus like its cancer. i hate the fan noise and the temps on this thing.

granted, I didn't try something low / mid range level . but if you try a ventus on a 5080 or 4090, lol you will have a chopper in your PC.

Games that requires the 4090/5090 in order to function properly but without an official statement from these studios who made these games. Jensen Hwang himself have made it clear that you don't need these GPUs but these games clearly says otherwise, he made it clear the X090 from every series are off the charts from games requirements and he's right technically but these games don't scale correctly. I don't understand PC gamers who call themselves PC gamers and don't want to get deep technical on what they've purchased.
I´m not a PC gamer, i´m a console gamer, who likes to play also on PC. Can you name which games won´t work properly outside of 4090/5090 GPU?

I had a 4060 Ti 16GB before I upgraded to a 9070 XT. It was a solid card, especially if you are doing hobbyist projects it's so nice to have a shitload of VRAM and RAM so you don't crash all the time. I sold it for $400 to a local guy. For South America $450 seems like a decent deal. Best part is with 16GB VRAM you are future-proofed. Force DLSS transformer model(iirc K is the latest, but they should have that option) in the Nvidia App and use DLSS perf in games, too. imo that's the way to go with midrange cards.

I've been doing fine with a 3060ti since 2021. Coupled with a new 5700x (up from 3600)and 32gb 3.6ghz ddr4 it plays everything I need near max (I play at 1080p/60). Im sure this is under $300 now, I would hope. I paid $450 back in 21.

RTX 4070 used on ebay. Can be found for $400-$500 dollars in great shape from reputable sellers. I got mine from there last year. 12GB RAM

I can play pretty much anything above 60 FPS with DLSS Quality. Many modern games at 90fps plus at high settings.

Whatever gpu you choose, just makes sure it works well with your CPU. There are bottlenecking guides online.

I bought my 4090 just so I could play these games. It is nice but I know not everyone has the luxury or willingness to spend the money on something expensive like that. Even though the market is currently going in the direction that people are gonna be paying an original 4090 price for like half the performance

Yes but which games are those only playable on top tier recent GPU? Can you name them?

What are those games? Games are build for PS5 config, that's the main spec target. They also have to make lower quality options for games to work on series s. All this translates to PC versions.

There are no games that require 4090 level of power unless you are talking about path tracing that is OPTIONAL.
