Behold this gentleman's slight annoyance at losing his match at EVO

You can see him being chill/laughing right after he's done with his act:
Context for those who dont know: Kojikog (crashout guy) faced GO1 10 years ago and did this same crashout. Today, he did it on stage, and GO1 caught on last minute

I watched a lot of EVO yesterday and I am disappointed at how still low budget and cringe it is even 15+ years after it blew up post-SF4 with an entirely new generation of players and Sony owning and operating the whole thing.

That said, agony of defeat, it's a real thing.

When competitors having fun and expressing themselves , people said ughh so cringe , this is esport , are they men bla bla bla

When competitors are reserved and not showing much expressions , people gonna said ughh why are they like robot , they don't enjoy competing anymore , no personalities anymore etc etc

You know what ? You negative peoples are more cringe :goog_kissing:

Last week I discovered there's chess E-sports, where people sit opposite each other and play chess on a computer.

Let me repeat that: they sit in the same room, together, opposite each other, and play chess. But on a computer.

I'm fucking dying. It took me a second for it to sink in and when it did...

I hate new FGC. Before we could get up, talk trash to our adversary, take out the shirt and, even, smack them if given the opportunity. And reactions like the one from Koji would be made mad fun by the villain players.

Sanitized FGC is cringe and full of pansies.

Awkward nerds trying WAY too hard to entertain, I feel embarrassed for them.

But then again being a meme is pretty profitable for a pro gamer, if used well.

Both are still true.

Shy awkward people always do either too little or too much. They don't always know where to begin and when to stop.
Usually they can progressively learn how to do better in more private settings, but sadly there it's in full view for everyone to see. Not a pretty sight.

The bit was funny at first, but he should've felt he needed to stop it in merely a few seconds, and not keep at it for almost a whole minute (maybe more?), making it feel forced and awkward.

Sick of tiktok culture (i.e. essentially acting like a tool in hopes your video goes viral).

Even if that's not the driver, and they're just throwing a bitch fit, just goes to show they have zero emotional regulation and/or dignity.

digital chess is different from normal chess. you can move inhumanly fast and pre-register your next move as well.

Now imagine the smell
at least all the people at that Evo event bathe unlike MTG tournaments. *shudder*

Context:
I have been to both events. Evo 2014-2016 and Star City Games Modern Masters 2014-2015. One was clearly filled with people with 99 degrees of BO.

Evo 2024 had better moments
