So Affleck's older Batman is going to die and pass the cowl to a younger replacement? That sucks, I really enjoyed Batfleck.
Nightwing needs his time to shine.
Nuts to that. DC has a cinematic universe (such as it is) in the early stages and the real Batman has to cede his position to a second-rate substitute because Warner Bros f*cked up and cast a dud?Nightwing needs his time to shine.
It's time to introduce the movie going world to Terry McGinnis.
Long overdue for a live action adaption of Beyond.
Cast Andy Serkis as a CGI Bruce Wayne

It's a graceful way to get out of any Snyderverse decisions they are having second thoughts about.Flashpoint sounds like a graceful way to usher out Batfleck.
/fixedSorry I meant Idris Elba
So uhhh
Being 100% honest here, I think any Big Comic retcon events being applied to film is a terrible fucking idea.

What did he say?
Nightwing needs his time to shine.
Basically he's bats and enjoys being bats
I think he wants to be in The Batman, but there's obviously something going on between him and WB. Ben's attempt at coach talk -- 'I love my job, I love being here.'
That means nothing
Considering Snyder started with a bitter, older TDKR Batman, they could find this Batman doesn't leave them lots of places to go with the character. Imagine making Logan as the first Wolverine film, then trying to build a franchise off of that. He's done this before.
The announcement of Flashpoint being in the works indicates to me that there's almost definitely some truth to the THR reports that Warner Bros are looking to transition from Batfleck to another take on the character.
