Those are public votes, and there is a large contingent who were determined to hate the film since it was first announced, regardless of quality.

I appreciate what Bernie has done for the narrative on where the Democrats should be aiming for: forward to honest directions, not simply teetering at cliffs with the enemies of reason.

If that's played any role in getting the party to look ahead to issues, not just tribalistic party battles, I can dig it. We have a lot to do, and it is best that we become more collectively aware at the chaos and conflict so we can try and act within reason.

I smirked about the fact that he went straight to Wall Street, but fair's fair, contextualising his endorsement in the very framework of his campaign makes an awful lot of sense; when it comes down to a choice of two, Clinton is ultimately the one that's going to head in the direction his campaign was promoting, and the speech served to underline that.

Well, their views are actually pretty similar.
The main issue where their view differ is campaign finance.
Ironically this is potentially the most important issue, because who finances your campaign has traditionally had a bigger influence on political policy than what the candidate said before or what public opinion demanded.

It was a central point of Sanders' campaign that he is not funded by corporate interest. Now he is backing a candidate that has fuckloads of corporate funding.

I wonder if Clinton was able actually convince Sanders than she isn't just a corporate puppet, or if Sanders is just going with the lesser of two evils and supports Clinton because he thinks his endorsment plays an important role in defeating Trump.

Thank you Hillary for being an extremely strong and dedicated political servant for decades.

I'll be happily voting for Hillary. Not because she's "the lesser of two evils" or just to "defeat Donald Trump", but because she has a platform and voting record I wholeheartedly agree with, and because she's proven her ability to actually pass legislation I agree with.


Finally more optimistic about this November.
