I am looking to get a FPS that will let me play the multiplayer modes with bots, in them. I don't have online capabilities, and also don't have anyone else to play these with. I'm really tempted to get Unreal Championship 2 that just came out today... and I also am eyeing the new Conker game because it was confirmed you can play with bots. Most FPS don't have bots built in with them these days cause of the online portion..

I have never played Timesplitters, which I know is the other shooter with bots. I wonder if the new Perfect Dark 0 will have bots in it? I sure wish Halo did....


Anyway just a question and some food for thought.

Not... quite.
Some bots are good (Sarge, Major, Visor) some cheap (Anarki, Xaerox).
In Unreal Tourney all of them are good, no cheap ones.

Well I forgot to mention that my question was for the consoles.... (I never play pc games, or have a computer strong enough to play them properly) But judging by the UT2004 comments, it looks like my train of thought for Unreal Championship 2: Lilandri Conflict was right on track.... Hopefully the combo of the melee combat with the shooting will be good fun.

I have only played these games on Goldeneye for N64 and Unreal Tournament for Dreamcast.... never anything else so my experience is very light.

I still am pretty tempted to try out Doom 3 for Xbox as well...

Unreal Tounament 2004 for the PC. I honestly can't think of any other game that has better bots.

For a console? I haven't got a clue. Perfect Dark maybe.

Well, I will say that if any PC game is worth $1200 in equipment, it's UT2004. :lol

Of course, that's with the assumption you'd play it LAN, Online, etc. Nothing beats a 16 player LAN of Onslaught.

CS: Source has good bots, but it's not very fun to wait for them to finish the game when you die early in a round.

UT2004 is the clear choice.

Hmm, how about Unreal Championship 2 for the Xbox?

Edit: never mind, you already mentioned it. I don't play many FPS games anymore, but yeah, definitely get UC2 for XB2, or UT2K4 if you get a PC down the road. But if that's your type of game, you should really try to get an Internet connection. There is no comparison.

The Battlefield bots remind me of those old electronic football games where you'd place your team on the vibrating metal football field and watch them run around in circles.
