Topic says it all. Bonus points if it's Japanese RPG-type thing, double bonus points if I've never heard of it before. Fire Emblem: PoR's dragon laguz and Shining Force Neo's wolf people whetted my appetite for more. Bring it on!

I think I heard that Majesco were tempted to bring out "Grand Yif Auto" but decided even their tastes weren't that low.

And I second the request to leave Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance the hell out of this.

Would you believe that I'm not beating off to the laguz, but just find them fucking cool?

Whatever goddamn furry. Do you go to those conventions where you dressup as a beaver or something and fuck a 300 pound woman dressed as a fox?

I honestly can't believe you bothered to ask this on GAF. You may as well go to the SA forums. Granted, here you're somewhat less likely to get tubgirl image macro in response.

THE QUESTION MUST BE ASKED!

In the interest of providing a response that isn't more Internet Stupid, if you're looking for "furry" games there just aren't very many western titles that would be considered furry. (Props to pointing out Brutal.) The anthro character style, as far as Japanese games go, however, would be considered this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kemono

Searching in that context might turn up more games with what are considered Furry characters in the US/UK/Europe.

A game called Kay is on the PS2...

I didn't like the demo. Probably the reason I don't have more "furry" games is that so many of them are oriented towards kids. I was thinking more like a Breath of Fire, but maybe something obscure that I wouldn't know already? :/

omg, I nearly vomited from laughing too much. :lol
No kidding. One of my ab muscles cramp-flipped from laughing for two minutes straight upon seeing that pic (especially the top one) and I'm hurting from it now. :lol

How fucking old are some of you people? Jesus.

I'm looking over my PS2 library right now, and I honestly can't think of one game to recommend outside of the awesome Sly Cooper. It's pretty sad, really. The "furry" character design philosophy sidesteps a lot of issues with racial misrepresentation and "realistic" violence against human characters. They also provided a good base of imagination for children to liken strong character traits to animals instead of races -- although you could essentially achieve the same effect by applying unrealistic skin color to human character design.

The stigma attached to furries couldn't be avoided in a social atmosphere of "gay this" and "pedophile that," unfortunately. Now it just forces products to conform to more realistic aesthetics that catches no end of bullshit from people that can't raise their children properly, as you can plainly see.

I keep meaning to pick up Legend of Kay. It looks to be a solid title. One of the JoWood reps at E3 last year gave my girlfriend and I Kay plushies when we were racing towards the SquareEnix booth to get tickets right when the expo opened. We thought the least we could do in return was check their game out, but the rep had to tell us it wasn't even at the show. :\ I can't remember the exact reason given, but it was a pretty awkward moment.

But turning them into sexual object is whats wrong. It's just bizarre and pathetic. I've seen so many horrible furry related things thanks to the internet that every time i see something that looks like that Furry Adventure cover that has been posted, I think of the freaks who corrupted this kind of stuff in my mind.

This is why people think it's pathetic. This is why people think it's wrong. It's about having grown men and women taking innoncent stuff that we all liked when we were kids and turning them into sexual stuff that feels bordeline beatiality.

2 days ago, someone posted a render of Kintaro from Mortal Kombat, and this model is completly convered in fur, unlike the original mk2 graphics where he was just a hairless monster with tiger stripes on his back's skin due to his monster/tiger hybrid mix

What do you think was the first thing when I saw that render? "Oh for fucks sake, they furried Kintaro :("

Why did I click on this thread? Now I feel all creepy. :(

I agree. furry = hentai bestiality. the real question is, is it worse than the "live-action" stuff?

seriously people, fancying manga style characters I can just about tolerate, but animals? I command thee to leave thy parents basement and find a real (prefereably human) female.

It feeds the same need. The guy wants to see animals getting it on. The furry art provides that. He wouldnt get the same effect from regular porn.

This is how I feel. All the innocent stuff with humanoid animals in it are now ruined to me thanks to furries making that shit creepy. The furries just don't get it, they think we hate the stuff just because it's humanoid animals. NO! It is because you made it creepy!

Ok, now that we're here. How WAS Legend of Kay for the PS2? I remember seeing early vids of it and being impressed. Did it turn out at all decent?

You're absolutely right -- it fucking sucks that people have perverted the ever-loving hell out of furry character design. But, there's a little known fact that people - in general - ruin a lot of things. MMOGs. Message boards. Parties. Anime. Certain video game expos. You focus on all the negative shit people drag into everything, and suddenly everything fucking sucks. All it does is raise your blood pressure and narrow your perspective. Case in point: Kintaro's problem isn't that he's covered in fur; it's that his character designer fucking sucks. :)

Then again, I try to focus on the upside of everything ever since I've found my physical and mental health to be improving because of it. I shouldn't expect people to share that philosophy though, when the hate is just that much more entertaining. :) Mostly, though, I was just trying to inject some maturity into this thread. Sorry. :P

This had to have been posted just to give people yet another opportunity to go "OMG FURRY LOL." There's no way sonarrat could have been here this long and have been so daft about posting here regarding the subject.

I haven't tried it for myself yet, but its UK release garnered good reviews -- which I think speaks well for it considering how difficult it is for a game of that type to get good press these days.
