Best method for tracking movies you want to watch?

This year I wanted to make an effort to catch up on movies I've missed over the past 5ish years. I'm trying to expand my horizons and give movies that aren't the big blockbusters a shot.

Tracking the movies I want to see is a huge challenge though. I used to add movies to a Wishlist on my AppleTV, but I can't figure out where the hell they moved it after reorganizing everything to push their streaming service. With movies being spread across multiple streaming services, and everything being fragmented, I'm finding it hard to keep track.

How do the movie buffs on GAF manage this? I downloaded the Letterboxd app on my iPhone and it seems ok. Is there a better app/site/method to do this?

No one shall be brought before our LORD David Bowie without the true and secret knowledge of the Photoshop. For in that time, so shall He appear.
I just use the Notes app on my phone and check them off as I watch them.

There was some dodgy looking remake I saw on Prime a while back, I just couldn't bring myself to watch it :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Honestly watch it ASAP though. It really is one of the best films going. Also has a biblical score, too

I still think of the meanings of the film to this day.

Icheckmovies.com - been using that site for 15 years I think.

Letterboxd is what I use. You can add films to your watchlist pretty easily. Then when you want to watch something you can filter it based on genre, decade it was released or service it's available on to fit whatever you are looking for in that moment.

I use Watch List on my Android phone and on my computer I have just a text file. Though I think the best option would be to keep everything in Google Notes as that would be the easiest way to keep track on multiple devices including my iPad.

I use Letterboxd still, but I use the website, the phone app has some annoying UI/UX quirks that cause too much friction. I'd recommend trying it with the main site if you haven't already and just use the app in a pinch for when you don't have access. I haven't really come across anything better.

My only gripe is the 5-wide grid on the desktop site, they need to widen it from this:

..to this (and tweak some of the other stuff at the top):

Viewing, or even worse, managing your lists and having to scroll so much to drag stuff around is a pain.

I also use Serializd for TV Shows and Backloggd for Games; these two are almost identical in function, though quite different to letterboxd. They're a good bit jankier unfortunately.

I kinda wish someone would buy all three and unify / streamline their UI/UX (call it the "d network", lol), also create a "Jukeboxd" for music and integrate discogs for that and blu-ray.com for Letterboxd/Serializd. Streaming is integrated in these, but it'd be nice to for physical media guys to get some love and be able to specify exact versions.

Here in the UK there used to be website that was called something simple like "films on tv" and it had all the films on all channels that were on that day, you could also put any film title in and see when it was last shown or if it would be on that month.

But it shut down.
