Best mini games?

There are two mini games that stand out for me, and had me totally losing some focus on the actual main game. It's:

Triple Triad - Final Fantasy 8
Fishing in Zelda OoT

These "mini" games feels like independant games of their own.

I can't believe how shitty(and confusing) Tetra Master in FF9 felt compared to FF8's Triple Triad.

Sakura Taisen (series)'s mini games in general. I especially liked Cocrique (sp?)'s mini game in ST3.

I think they shoved Tetra Master into FF11 and forced anybody who wanted to play it to pay an extra $1.

I will agree with you on fishing in OOT. I must have put several hours just beating my records. :lol

It's simplistic, but I loved the generic casino machine that forked out extra lives in Mario 2. I worked out the timing perfectly so that I always got the maximum number of lives, and I always played with Toad so that I picked the most shrooms. Nostalgia talking? Probably, but that's ok.

I also really dug the Zelda fishing game.

Absolute tie between the Xenogears battle arena and the Chocobo Racing area from FFVII. Calling these "mini-games" is a real understatement because they were amazing and I'd totally buy these seperately.

Xenocards in Xenosaga
Tetra Master in Final Fantasy IX (Hey, I loved it)
Spheda in Dark Cloud 2
Fishing in Dark Cloud 2

Fishing in Zelda.

Off the top of my head:

Fishing :: Breath of Fire III
Chocobo Racing :: Final Fantasy VII
G-Bike :: Final Fantasy VII
Triple Triad :: Final Fantasy VIII
Chocobo Hot & Cold :: Final Fantasy IX
Gunner's Gauntlet :: Final Fantasy X-2
Sphere Break :: Final Fantasy X-2
Arcades :: Shenmue
XenoCard :: Xenosaga: Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht

I second Sphere Break, Triple Triad (did anyone play those online versions of it?), and Tetra Master. I also found the little Cactaur shooting game in X-2 to be cute, and enjoyable because of that.

I'm not sure if this can be counted, but I really loved Ballista, the PVP game in FFXI.
