I havent said thats not a problem in GT. And there were also reflections on Tuscany wet tarmac tracks.benzy said:I know. I just wanted to point it out because KKRT is speaking as if PGR4 doesn't have wet road surfaces, and even if it didn't, somehow it's not a problem in GT5?
EDIT - PGR4's weather is dynamic too. I recall one of the main race events where the road was dry and by the end of the race the street was wet and there were puddles everywhere.

I thought the presentation was a bit rough, actually. In particular, the menu system and replay camera angles. I would have liked to have seen something smoother along the lines of Codemasters recent games for menus and improved replay angles. I wasn't impressed with the rain either. As I noted either, the game has amazing shaders for wet surfaces, but the rain droplets themselves aren't great. They use the typical jaggy toothpick rain. There aren't a lot of things I truly feel bad for in the gaming industry, but Bizarre Creations closing down was number with a bullet - to this day the game's presentation and all-around package of visuals is second to none for me, and the way they killed it with the weather, especially rain is still jaw-dropping.

After the introduction sequence, seeing the droplets of water run down Samus' visor is really incredible.

The original Metroid Prime basically set standards for visor/HUD interaction on console gaming. I honestly can't think of a game that did what it did so damned effectively and effortlessly. Steam, fog, ice, rain, water wash, alien guts, etc; all were just remarkable.drspeedy said:This. So darn amazing

And this too. Dammit, Nintendo! Why are you alone responsible for all of my best gaming memories...
