It's a guy. :/ But the voice-actor for him is actually a voice-actress. She's got an amazing voice.

His name is Kenshin and he's from the anime Rurouni Kenshin. I'm obsessed. :D

meh, Kenshin was great till I saw Fullmetal Alchemist, now that's an anime no fillers no wasting time on shit. just pure awesomeness of a plot, great character development, awesome music yeah you get the picture Full Metal Alchemist for the win :D
 
On a related and more serious note, was it ever explained how Kenshin got his cross-shaped scar? i think i only made it to episode 45 in the anime way back when.

Himuro, that image you posted is a completely different person.

The eyes, the hair, the hands, and the color are more masculine. It's acceptable.

The first image is some pansy leaning back on a wall and to me it means "oh....look at that...it's spring. Everything's so pretty. Let me hug my sword like a schoolgirl does with a book. I'm really a woman afterall."

I wish when I got in fights when I was younger, my nose grew longer, eyebrows got thicker, eyes turned yellow, and wide. I'm sure it would freak the fuck out of my enemies.
 
The wallpaper is just a resize of a supersize scanned pic of this manga artbook thing that has everything to do with the manga, not the anime. Manga > Anime (unfortunately). I got it from the internet and some pics are real nice. :)

I also 'made' (just resized and editted the scans) this one. It's all good. :D

This Kenshin stuff is driving me crazy.... I have a friend who is obsessed. I had to spend a weekend vacation with her last month and she would just go on and on about this animated character. She would nitpick every single person she saw that looked like he was wearing some Kenshin outfit (oh wrong color! oh the kimono is tied wrong! oh that person can't be next to kenshin because the time period is wrong, bla bla bla)

I am glad I only have to deal with it in person once a year. I can safely handle it over email.

Personally, I found the anime quite drab. I don't see the appeal.
