What a bunch of a-holes.

Even if this were real, these guys are all a-holes.

And so much for compelling evidence. Those photos were horrible. As if they couldn't get a photo of the mouth of an orangutan.

Hell, I could produce one of those.

How risky of you, Gaborn! :lol

Hey, I figured I'd wait till they actually showed us what they had, and what they had was... crap. As I expected, but still, good to know I wasted my time.

If their family and friends are still living? yes.
They won't be laughing when the hits on the guy's webpage go through the roof after this and he's rolling in cash.

for two days.

Hokes or not, its still hilarious.

Can't believe I just watched a BIGFOOT press conference on CNN. :lol

When asked if he worked for the police department he said "we're not talking about that today." :D

Just like why they made the fake Youtube video. The press is encroaching on their privacy and they are trying to deflect that as much as possible. I wouldn't talk to them about my job either.

If this turned out to be real then how much fucking damage are they doing by keeping it in a shitty freezer with goddamn gas station ice? They need to get this shit to real scientists ASAP to preserve as much as possible.

Even bumblefucks like that should understand as much. Reason #98732434 why this is probably fake.

And the guy who's been hunting Bigfoot since the 70's, this has been his livelihood for 30 years. If this turned up a hoax he'd basically be out of a job. They all have something to lose from this IMO!
And that's stopped hoaxes in the past how?

Ok, honestly, if any of you are buying into this... you're an idiot.

I don't know what they're motives are, but this is nothing but an attention grab. They put a bigfoot costume in a cooler and snapped some pics. THAT'S the story, nothing more.

I loved that they were trying to fill the freezer with water.

"Why did you do that?"

"That's how you make ice... We wanted to preserve it in a block of ice."

Like this is fucking Scooby Doo or something.

My point was this guy's JOB has been to look for Bigfoot for 30 years and if he is latching on to this story it's either somewhat true or no one is ever going to take him or his work seriously ever again.

This guy HAS been exposed as a fraud in the past....he's risking nothing.

Somehow, I doubt that's enough to be anyone's "breadwinner" job.

That's a fucked up hobby for a loony hick, not a job.

all i want to know is has anyone proven that this is NOT real yet?

all i see it a lot of talk and hot air and until then you have to give them the benefit of the doubt.

That's a logical fallacy and you know it. They're the ones making the claim, it's thier responsibility to convince the public with hard evidence and right now they aren't doing that. I'll remain skeptical until hard evidence is presented and accepted.

The moon landing.

The fall of the Berlin Wall.

9/11.

It's only a matter of time until my grandchildren ask me with wonderment in their eyes, "Grandfather, where were YOU when the Bigfoot press conference was on?"

:lol

What? Why would I give them the benefit of the doubt when there has been very little evidence to support the existence of this creature in the past? It is on them to prove that what they have is real, and if you hold a press conference, you had better bring solid evidence to show for it.

Personally, if I found something like they claim to have found, I wouldn't hold a press conference. I'd get the remains into the hands of scientists and zoologists as quickly as I could. The press conference can come later, when we actually know something for sure.

To which you should respond, "Taking a massive dump and loling on GAF."

:lol look i'm not trying to teach a logic class here--all i'm saying is that if i came out with something i would want people to actually give me the benefit of the doubt rather than just dismiss it without any proof. just common sense.

Yep, there's a difference between skepticism and mocking them. I do not believe based on the press conference they have anything of value. Apparently they have another opportunity to make their case with the "autopsy," let's see what happens there.

Ok, I can agree with this. I'm a skeptic, who would actually love for this to be true, but there are just certain things about the approach that seem off.

Who cares what they want? It's their job to put up or shut up when they're the ones making the extraordinary claim. We owe them no intellectual welfare just because they may want it from us.

Agreed, if this is true this thing was BADLY mismanaged at every level, but it just doesn't seem to be true. Still, GAF's inevitable reaction isn't helpful.

Yes. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

I like that the guy who posted it decided to have his entire handle scroll through the screen in the middle of the video. Yeah, because this is obviously his footage and he doesn't want anyone else stealing it.

I fucking hate youtube and I fucking hate bullshit yokels claiming they've captured bigfoot and then not supplying hard evidence.

So here's a question: how exactly are these guys going to save face come Monday, or whenever they've committed to showing their hand? Basically if they don't deliver a body early next week then they'll have a lot of 'splainin to do.

The George Lucas looking guy explicitly said he touched the thing and verified it seeing it up close. And I guess he has a rep for this stuff, even if only within the cryptozoology community, so he really is kind of putting it all on the line.

So if (when) this does turn out to be a hoax, how exactly will he try to get out of it? I'm betting they'll claim the body was stolen.
