Biggest stages and/or interconnected worlds this gen?

Some games are just big. You can travel for virtual miles and miles without a single load screen, and all of this adds to the immersion of the experience. Likewise, some stages are much bigger than it seems like they have any right to be.

Big worlds:

-Morrowind (biggest game this gen)
-Shadow of the Collossus
-Jak games?
-Ninja Gaiden
-GTA series, especially San Andreas

Big stages:

-Jet Set Radio Future
-Halo and Halo 2
-GunValkyrie
-Phantom Dust
-Katamari Damacy

Which games impressed you with their size and scope?

That was probably the most obvious one that I left out. I guess it's because I don't really like the series.

Jak 1 really impressed me, I mean I don't remember that game stopping to load ever (if so, very transparently) Jak 2 + 3 had those we're loading but we won't say it parts (like when you would wait for the door to shut behind you and the one in front to open while standing still...)

Daggerfall

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Elder_Scrolls_II:_Daggerfall

"Daggerfall featured a very large game world (estimated as being roughly the size of Turkey or Great Britain), with over 15,000 towns, cities, villages, and dungeons for the player's character to explore as he or she pleases."

Here's the official map for Daggerfall:

If you guys remember Morrowind, how it was a large island in Tamriel look at the top right portion of the map. That massive island is just a portion of what was available in Daggerfall. Daggerfall takes place in High Rock and Hammerfell on the left hand side, essentially the entire north-western section of the map. Although these maps aren't very clear, Daggerfall was a monstronsity in its size but now you can piece together the world of Tamriel.

Here's a more updated picture of Tamriel:

You'll notice that the middle is clearly labelled Cyrodiil which is the location for Oblivion. Its a larger area than Morrowind but still smaller than what you could explore in Daggerfall. Granted Daggerfall was randomly generated for the most part and an absolute chore to explore but it did have a MASSIVE scope.

EDIT: I know this doesn't fit into the 'this gen' category but I wanted to point out one of the industry's largest virtual worlds.

Could probably throw in Far Cry's (PC) outdoor levels just for the sheer size to detail ratio. Pretty huge maps considering the quality of the rendering, there's lots of alternate routes to take before you see everything.

Everquest 2 and WoW, duh.

Wow, I can't belive it took this long for WoW to be mentioned
Everquest has some huge zones, but not the huge ass zoneless world of WoW

Take out the Ratchet&Clank series. The levels aren't any bigger then in any platformers, like SMS or Sly Cooper.

Morrowind, and this without counting the expansion packs. Its just a bigger world (not necessarily better) with hundreds of dungeons and other locales. GTA:SA has the unfortunate problem of feeling smaller due to the ease of travel and being able to use an airplane to quickly cover distance.

EDIT: WoW easily trumps them both before anyone asks.

RE4? Areas are interconnected rather seemlessly with perfect pacing and it's quite detailed much like Metroid Prime.
