Ugly guy. Don't know much about him.

He would have a lot of money and sycophantic coverage from the Israel lobby and their mouthpieces in the East Coast Neo-"conservative" establishment....may be able to draw some votes in states like South Carolina with a heavy concentration of military families and people employed in military related industries.

Oh wow, when I read about the "teaser" that Kristol tweeted with regards to a 3rd party candidate, I had no idea he was actually the one trying to manufacture this whole thing in the first place. I thought he was just in the know about it. This is far more pathetic than I originally thought.

Just read some more about him. I get the feeling he would do this either to launch a political career for a different post later...or just to sell a lot of books and get a lot of appearances on Fox to plug.

I thought Bll Kristol was hyping someone that is at least well known and can actually pose maybe a bit of a threat to trump or help their downticket races. But this guy may not help the republicans much at all if he decides to run.

General Mattis? Pretty sure plenty of people have heard of him, as I think he was a 4 star in charge of a giant chunk of the military. And supposedly has a mind as sharp as anyones, and a mouth to match.

Lol, exactly my reaction.

I thought Kristop was originally hyping up the Johnson/Weld ticket, since it seemed like the timing of his teaser would line up with the Libertarian convention. That would've actually been interesting.
