Only a few days left until Black Friday 2024. This tradition imported from the United States is described by most as the biggest shopping event of the year. Indeed, many exceptional discounts will be reserved for this event.

Sony will also be offering several discounts on PlayStation games, consoles and accessories for this Black Friday. In fact, we exclusively revealed new PS5 Fortnite Cobalt Star packs that will be launched with a promotional price this Friday , November 22. The contents of these packs have even been officially confirmed by a Sony announcement trailer.

We now have a more global vision of the promotions on PS5 consoles that will be offered during Black Friday . We reveal what we know with the official dates of these promotions.

75 euros “minimum” discount on PS5 Slim consoles​

Like the new PS5 Fortnite Cobalt Star packs, the bare PS5 consoles (in Standard and Digital editions) will also benefit from an immediate discount of 75 euros for the Black Friday period. This discount is offered by Sony and will be valid at all authorized sellers in France.

We can now confirm the exact dates of the PS5 console-only promotions. These promotions will be valid from November 22 to December 12, 2024 .

Additional discounts offered by some merchants​

Some retailers have already announced additional discounts on PS5 consoles during Black Friday. For example, Carrefour France will offer an additional €45 discount (credited to the loyalty card) on the PS5 Slim Standard as we can see through this deal shared on Dealabs. Other local merchants will also offer additional discounts, such as Hyper U in Mayenne , which will offer an additional 20% discount on all PS5 consoles. We would like to thank member Robost who spotted and shared the offer on Dealabs.

Discounts also valid in other regions of the world​

As with the PS5 Fortnite Cobalt Star bundles, discounts on bare PS5 consoles will also be valid in Europe , with the price possibly fluctuating slightly. For example, you can see a discount of 80 instead of 75 euros in some European countries.

In related news, a $70 discount on the PS5 Slim Digital Edition was accidentally featured in a PlayStation US YouTube ad before being removed. The promotion was supposed to last until December 24, 2024 .
