That's the absolute worst description I've ever read of Romeo and Juliet in my life. You make poor assertions as to what the characters were feeling and their motivations and follow it up with an inane comment about religion and an issue that has nothing to do with yours or anybody's previous comments. Try again, but use more substance next time. Try to talk about how far ahead of his time he wasn't.

I think people have every right to question his originality if that's the case. As far as the quality of his writing goes, that's another issue.

There's your problem right there. Try watching a Shakespeare play. If done by reasonably competent actors, most of them are quite entertaining. Even those that seem like crap when you're reading them.

Either that or dont learn your Shakespeare from a drunk high school english teacher.

Reading a play defeats the whole purpose of the play to begin with; dunno why educators insisted on us reading them when in this case, TV (VCR) would've been the absolute solution. It's meant to be performed and watched by the audience. It looks like crap on paper because it's the bare minimum actors need to go by.
