What's better? MacBook Pro 13" base model for $1100 or 13" MacBook Air base model for $1100? They both have HD 4000 graphics. I just want to play Team Fortress 2, Dota 2, and maybe The Sims 3 or something

Obviously the MacBook Pro has a much faster processor, so it's better by default. Notebooks will always be better than comparably priced ultrabooks.

But if you're only interested in playing PC games from years ago, I doubt it makes that much difference. I have no idea how much horsepower DOTA 2 requires, but if it's like any other Valve game then probably not much.

Pro it is then. Thanks.
There's typically fitting rooms for everyone if it's a unisex store. People try on shirts, pants, swimsuits.
Trying on an article of clothing you are considering buying is hardly the same as trying on a generic article of clothing that has the sole purpose of being tried on by everyone.

Some of you are acting like you've never sat on a public toliet seat, slept in a hotel bed, rented bowling shoes, used gym equipment, ect, ect.

Yeah you don't even go out with fresh clothing, you gotta launder that. Your point?

hahaha I left fuck Wal-Mart.

still put in 11 hours. I found out that they weren't supposed to make me work that long (17 hours) without my consent, so I worked until the time that was originally on my schedule before they changed it without notice. if they ask me why I left without telling them first, I'll ask them why they changed my schedule without telling me first.

all's fair in bullshit and war.

That a generic bra thats used only to be tried on by hundreds of people isnt the same as trying on a shirt you're interested in that has been worn by maybe a dozen people at most?

I dont agree with the original criticism, but your analogy is hardly accurate.

How do you know how much they swap them out? Besides they're fucking bras.

Not to mention at one point in his life his entire body was forced through his mothers vagina. Can you believe that? His whole body touched every fold of his mothers blood soaked vagina!

What they are is besides the point. And I assume a box full of generic items meant to be tried on will be used as many times as possible since that's their purpose.

And my analogy is fine. You don't know how many people tried on those shirts, pants, or swimsuits before you and what their hygiene was like. What a stupid argument.

While I can agree that it's bullshit to expect someone to work a 17 hour shift, the passive-aggressive game you're playing is not the right way to go about it. You will not win points with anyone, and you'll likely to be targeted for reprisal.

Retail stores are such a clusterfuck, so there's a chance your early departure might not even be noticed at all though. If you are questioned about it though, you'd be better off just saying you never heard about the schedule changes rather than getting into the "Well I left early without telling you just like you changed my hours without telling me" standoff you are anticipating. Obviously the best way to go about it would have been bringing the issue up before Black Friday, but that ship has obviously sailed.

Boob sweat is unfortunate. Luckily the place I go to doesn't use that system, and I can grab (mostly) untouched bras.

Made out well this year!

Picked up NBA2k13 25$
A 2nd Sony display for 99$. Already have my glasses and Motorstorm up on Ebay and will make more than half of the money I spent on it back.
Grabbed a couple blurays and also Dead island for dirt cheap.

Is dead island worth hanging on to?

I can't really play the innocent card because I did bring it up to several managers who told me to take it up with the store manager, who is apparently the one that did it, and the same thing happened to some other people I talked to about it only they were actually asked first. I wasn't. I have no intention to actually walk in and say "well I left early without" blah blah, but I am going to use that argument only if they pursue it and I'm not going to be a dick about it. There is obviously a respectable way to go about presenting my case if it does indeed come up.

I'm mainly just venting on the internet so that I don't have to IRL. It works for me.

Amazon has the 3TB drives for $99 again, for anyone that is in need one (internal or external).

I bought an internal. Hopefully that wasn't a bad decision. I remember a time when WD and Seagate were mostly high quality =/

Breast Sweat | OT | You Know You Want It

Victoria's Secret bra hygiene is an important topic that impacts many lives.

Some of you are acting like you've never sat on a public toliet seat, slept in a hotel bed, rented bowling shoes, used gym equipment, ect, ect.

Wait, how exactly are you using gym equipment?

But no, I don't use rented bowling shoes, or sit on public toilet seats. I probably wouldn't sleep under hotel linen that hadn't been laundered either given a choice, no matter what they sprayed it with.

That sounds more level-headed than your original post :)

Either way, it might help if you have some bullshit story about a mom or grandmom that was only in town until Friday morning. Just don't say anything that contradicts what they already know about your family situation though.

Is there anywhere that is going to have decent Mobo/CPU combos? I might as well upgrade my rig while I'm at it.

I'm still punching myself for having missed the $100 2500K deal at Microcenter.

I asked my girlfriend who works at VS about it and she said "Probably a lot. It's gross to think about it. At work, they have one of each bra style in the fitting room so the nice ones that people try on don't get stinky". Im not sure what that last part means exactly, but yeah. I personally think there is no way random bras for sale get tried on anywhere close to the generic fitters, but maybe that's just me. If you really disagree with that, more power to you.

Edit -- Turns out she had more to say:
"So there's about 300 people that come in each day about 28% try on...so whatever percentage that is, is how many try on that very bra...multipy that by 7 a week and four for the month..that's alot of booby swapping."

Looks decent, where'd you get it?

So what? There are so many more germs on the hands of anyone who touches a garment you want to wear. Your argument about how stuff on the floor might be worn less doesn't mean anything. The guy mentioned boobie germs, as if there are diseases passed on by wearing the bras. And others came in to mention how they wouldn't try on things worn by others despite the fact they already have or their discards were worn by others, or that they touched clothes others might have touched with their hands, it's not like things that look okay are taken off the racks, washed or burned.

I was just pointing out that your analogy is flawed in that someone could reasonably be grossed out by a random fitter versus actual merchandise. If your agenda is to defend boobs, then we're discussing two different things.

People thinking they can get germs off bras (it's the same skin as the rest of the body) must not use door handles, keyboards at school, the bus, sit on a toilet, pet a dog or cat, or picks up cans/boxes of food at the store with one of those extending hand things.

Boob-gate is STILL going?

I canceled that 3TB drive order at Amazon and made it at Costco instead. If the drive even looks at me funny, Costco will take it right back for a full refund. Viva la Costco!

A surprisingly easy BF. Wasn't planning on getting much; but dang, everything was just "ready to buy."

Woke up this morning, did some online shopping for the games. And then hit up some local stores around 1am and got the rest. My total haul for the day:

Syndicate PC - $7
Forza Horizon 360 - $15
Dishonored PC - $25
Battlefield 3 Premium PC - $25

Xbox 360 Star Wars Kinect Limited Edition Console - $350 - $150 console trade-in = $200 (and can still sell the 250GB HDD)
PlayStation 3 3D Display + 2yr warranty - $115
Halo Reach 360 (wanted a physical copy) - $15

5x 1600 MS Space Bucks - $50

Total - A little less than $500 after tax. I'm a happy camper!

Price per GB is pretty high, but I can't say how much of that is the portability. Do you need it to be portable, or are you asking if $60 is a good price for a TB?
same here

i dont know the price range of portable hdds. i mean a 16gb flash drive is 6$ so this sounds like a good deal.

Amazon's 1tb portables seem to be in the $70-$90 range. So at the least it's likely a $10 savings, and at most it could be a $30 savings. It depends on the model.

If you can find the item on Amazon, go to camelcamelcamel and copy/paste the items URL. It will show you the price history of the item.

I got 2 of those 40" Toshiba televisions for $180 each, a $39 Toshiba Bluray player and a Galaxy S3 for $48 (and tax on the full price...) from Best Buy.

I chilled at home most of the day, ate Thanksgiving dinner with the family and then headed out at around 5ish to get in line. The people at the front of the line were there since Friday, and I had access to every deal they had access to with only 6-7 hours of camping.

Yes, but later in the day usually. People hit up the electronic stores first for gifts/amazing deals on that kind of stuff then wander to clothing stores.

I went to JC Penny's (IIRC) last Black Friday because they had some amazing deals on some really nice shirts (bought about 4 of them). Can't remember if I went in the morning or the afternoon, but everything I wanted was still there and there were no mobs of shoppers.

was in line at checkout -

hollister for 1 hour 20 mins
abercrombie 1 hour 10
express 50 mins

all of them have 50% entire store. amount of people depends on the store and kind of deals they have

Now that I think about it, I think just a few items at the store were on sale. So yeah...that would probably explain my ease in shopping :)
