They are some of the best in terms of artstyle and cinematics when they want to be , diablo 4 didnt have a good story but the storytelling was great , all they need is to hire better writers , no stupid political agenda and they would easily sell 10 millions copies , for example who wouldnt like to play a warcraft crpg like BG3 or a starcraft 3rd person game like space marine 2

they would make some serious money

blizzard should some offline games

I think Blizzard should all offline games. But Blizzard is resistant to offlining games since they more money make onlining games. But offlining games is so much the better for end-users than onlining games. I wish Blizzard games had the option to all either offline or online. Then everybody wins. I like it when companies offline games.

I'm just messing with you. *blows kiss*

You can't go from a couple billion dollar grossing games to some measly millions (generous) on a single player game. Not happening.

Money has to go up, always.

space nova GIF by Blizzard Entertainment

They tried with Starcraft Ghost...

Yeah, a lot of us grew up playing Blizzard games when there was an equal focus on offline/single-player game modes and Starcraft II was sorta the last hurrah for that, sadly. The success of WoW forever changed the company.

I do think there is a market for offline/single-player games from Blizzard, but it will never to compare to the money they bring in with Diablo 4, Diablo Immortal and WoW. It is what it is.

this is BIG if true

Warcraft should single player RPG. Starcraft should third person. Diablo should offline like old days. They should make money and fans would happy. Simple.

They could still easily get loads of sales with single player games but Blizzard wants the the big mulas. World of Warcraft is easily the one if not the highest earning game in history from their subs and expansions and how active it is.

Same reasone why Gacha devs don't offline SP games.

Online gaming Gacha makes too much money for them and they like money.

Online play has been a central component in every game they've released since the late 90's. Thinking removing that would "easily sell ten million copies" is completely insane.

Modern Blizzard isn't able to make a game with a proper singleplayer component (very much like modern Bungie). It's sad, but I have accepted it.

Should offline game stay or should offline games go?

Come on and let me know.

Ps. With just one month, Diablo 4 sold more than 12M units (unique players). So if "Blizzard should some offline game" it "should" lose sales.

There's only one aspect where Blizzard is as good as the artstyle or cinematics, and it's at monetizing their games and bleeding their customers, that's not as simple to do if they make a non GaaS game.
