Are they not doing free streams over the net anymore? Guess it would be kinda weird since they are doing the whole pay-per-view DirectTV thing but I find it really lame that they would break out of their old model of internet streaming.

As you put it why give their fans something for free when they can get people to sign up for PPV Blizzcon. Its tough surviving on 200 million plus a month

Please announce dual-spec'ing........Please announce dual-spec'ing

They said news on it will be said at blizzcon but they also said they realize dual speccing would overpower hybrid classes in a raid enviroment and they dont want that to happen so its hard to know what they intend to do.

I know but as it is my Pally is underpowered and I almost never get into raids Ret spec'd (unless I lie and say I'm prot). I'd love to be able to Ret spec for solo'ing and Prot spec for raiding.

Awww crap, I was halfway through making an information thread. Here's everything I put together......you might want to add the information about the schedule and the streaming audio to the original post:

The Wizard from Blizzard?
:D Seriously though, yay for playable Diablo III and hopefully impressions. Still dont see why Blizz never releases Blizzcon build demos to the public.

Not just blizzard, but most companies dont' release any build demos to the public until the game is released.

Looking at the rate of starcraft2, diablo3 won't be out until 2010 the earliest.

Part of me still hopes they'll announce Death Knights will be included with 3.0.2. The rumor has been swirling for a month or so, and they have yet to deny anything as far as I'm aware, so hey it's still a possibility :D

Secondly, those banners they have hanging all over the convention are fucking gorgeous.

Well, they've said Diablo III is farther along than Starcraft II (even though they've apparently been working on SCII for nearly five years -_-') and that Diablo will more than likely be released before SCII, since it's "a lot closer to being done than people think".

would be totaly awesome but the chances are little :lol anyway we will see it on patchday next week!

WoW:
Upcoming patches

* Patch 3.1 - Patch 3.1 will be the first content patch of the expansion and is already done. It will include Ulduar raid instance (10 and 25 Man) (Source)
* Patch 3.2 - Patch 3.2 will add a new and still unknown raid instance to the game. (Source)
* Patch 3.3 - Patch 3.3 will introduce Icecrown Citadel and should also resolve the storyline of Ashbringer. (Source)

Others

* New dances will be added in a content patch, one of the objective with the dance studio isn't to just add new dances but also let players combine moves to create their own dance. (Source)
* Guild ratings might be added in the future, guilds could receive a rating based on their PvE and PvP accomplishments.(Source)
* Achievements based on guild accomplishments could be added to the game. (Source)

Oddly enough, Blizzcon will have more exciting news come out of it than all of TGS combined. :lol

It'd be nice, but part of the whole DK when WOTLK launches philosophy is that it divides the playerbase into three seperate areas so the servers won't die horrible deaths.

Do you have a link for this? I'm hoping for SCII first.

Blizzcon attendees get an invitation to the Starcraft 2 beta -- so I'm assuming that one is much further along.

They get a Key to the beta. The Beta could start summer 2009. Last years Blizzcon gave keys to lich king beta and that didnt happen within a month or two.

Wait... doesn't Blizz usually give out their upcoming beta goodie codes for "An upcoming Blizzard product"? I don't think they usually say for certain which game it'll be used for. Does it explicitly say SC2 beta on the pass?

Look at the image in the OP. Specifically says StarCraft 2 on the bottom.

OPENING CEREMONY is streaming now -- I would suggest using the "Low Bandwidth" stream, as the high quality one was super-stuttery for me.

My point is that they are going to give out keys for the game that is going to be in beta sooner. So Starcraft is probably further along than Diablo 3.

Sounds like the opening ceremonies were kinda lame. I can't believe they didn't have any big announcements.

Opening was lame last time too, There won't be any "big announcements" at this con, something like a game announcement would have been in the program

from MMO-Champion:

12:00 Blizzard's "secret project" confirmed to be a new MMO with a brand new universe, but we won't hear anything about it before a while.
