Yes, you took the lower (and longer) path, you have a path through the house up the stairs where you fight against the Cleric Beast.
 
subbing. installing it now. i tried to play ds2 but it didnt click with me. i said im going to give this an honest chance since ive got nothing else to play on ps4. im going in blind and im sure ill have a bunch of questions.
 
I almost finished Demon's Souls. I liked Dark Souls, but didn't finish. Stopped just after the lava area on PS3, and never played longer than maybe 5 hours on PC, even with DSFix. Never played DS2.

I'm on the fence about Bloodborne at $60. Should I buy it immediately? I feel like I wouldn't mind a digital copy. Should I wait until the physical version is cheaper, and then get that?

Also, I'm 6 hours into MH4U and loving it. Should I still get Bloodborne?
 
Finally got to play for a bit. Definitely challenging, even as a Souls vet. So far I am very pleased woth the labrynthine level layout. Clever ways to unlock shortcuts.

I am trying to get used to the pistol. I sometimes hit L1 instead of L2. So used to shield nlock, lol.

Also, it isn't always clear when the pistol will trigger a stagger for riposte/crit. I haven't nailed down the subtlety because it occasionally staggers, but usually they just brush it off and I get hit.

lol, complete opposite of me. took forever on the first boss, got the second on my second try
 
FUUUUCK. Just used up all my vials and probably lost all my souls on the first boss. He's really difficult. I've only died 5-10 times up to this point.
 
This question might sound weird coming from someone that already finished the game... but can you upgrade armor?

I have different sets, but none of them have a clear advantage over the other. I know this is deliberate, but wanted to know if there was a way to upgrade like prev soul games.
 
holy fuck I didn't realize I had opened up a shortcut in the last part that i was complaining about. Awesome. I had a feeling the length I had to repeat was too ridiculous and unfair to be real

Equip pistol, climb the ladder to his tower and shoot him three times. He'll fall off the edge. Quit and reload so his gear appears on the tower hahaha.

Very, very similar boat.

I've sunk large amounts of hours into DeS and DaS, but they never gripped me enough for me to follow through.

From what I'm reading, man, Bloodborne features some really good steps up. Sounds like the real deal. If i can trade things in and bring the price down a bit, imma take the plunge
 
Picked up the CE today at Best Buy. Eager to play! I am brand new to this game experience - I never played any of the Demon or Dark Souls games.

i've been fighting him and not using vials because i am scared of that happening lol

havent even been using molotovs i am still at 10

i think at some point i will have to use items because hes too tough to beat without
 
I've spent the last two hours making zero progress. I can't even open the short cut to the first boss. I've played all of the previous souls games without too many hang ups, but this is just bullshit.

As of right now, I'm honestly starting to hate Bloodborne.
 
I really dislike all the farming I have to do when I go all out in a boss fight and lose. Take me ages to replenish blood vials and bullets...

And what happened with the fast travel system. No more tumbnails and only from the main hub?
 
I like having people that are Souls fans on my friends list, but is there really any point? Especially with summons only working specifically via passwords, or randomly via matchmaking?
 
The first big enemy you come across (not including the one you fight before getting weapons, but the one after that if you take a slight right down an alleyway) is kicking my ass. Like... I feel like the only way to kill it would be to do the whole shoot gun/stun + big attack, but I can't seem to get the timing down. :(
 
lost a good bunch of blood in a super stupid way. Mr fucking gatling gun had me trapped, but no monster and I could only take one hit, however there was a ladder and some fog in the gunners line of sight. I figured that either it would be a weird way to troll me or the guy couldn't see through the fog and I could get up the ladder.

Let's just put it this way. I should've just used the bold hunter's mark ._____.

What kinda annoys me though is that I went back - just ran straight past the monsters and my blood was super hard to find. I obviously died again so now it's completely gone, but I feel that if it's on the ground it can be kinda hard to spot, but maybe that's just me.

Anyway losing a a lot of experience in this game is just part of it. I'll get it back with a vengance.. And destroy that fucking gunner, with a slow, rusty spoon.

Yeah i did the same until i gave up and used my molotovs. Died first try with molotovs.
 
Finally got my Str up to use the Kirkhammer. The R1-L1-R1 combo from sword mode is the coolest thing in the world, but I'm slightly underwhelmed by the damage. It has a higher damage rating than my Saw Spear, but it seems like it's doing way less, even when transformed.
