It's times like these where I really, really wish I had the patience for the Souls games. I'm glad so many others can enjoy them, though!
Dear lord, why is this thread already 51 pages long? Are we going to already be at OT2 before the night is over?
I'm glad you stuck with the update even if everyone else gave up on you \o/![]()
I'm tired as hell. I've been up since 3 am EST. I'll be playing it the moment I get up.
Can you guys add a character name section for the Bloodborne sheet?
oh yus
I'll be playing it all day. I bet by the time you start playing, I still wouldn't have beaten the first boss. It's OK I won't really be able to dive in until tomorrow night and then I'll be behind forever.
I never played a soul game before. . I just want to have fun (I was more planning on dishing all my stats in stamina and vitality early on).

Doesn't really work if people have multiple chars.
Just picked it up from my local game store here in Seoul. We may have a different cultural background and language but the guy immediately knew why I was there!
Question, technically isn't the waste of skin class the best since it allows you to level up straight from level 1 so you don't have to worry about increased costs that escalate for every level you go up since you're starting at level 1?

@yosp: (´-`).。oO(I feel like crying)
I've been playing since Saturday and I'll probably be behind everyone by 10am tomorrow.![]()
Anyone with early copies know where/how to get the small resonant bell so you can join other's games? I know the beckoning bell summons but my understanding is that the "guest" has to ring the small resonant bell.
The real Bloodborne starts here. Can't wait for tomorrow!
It'll probably take me just as long. Though I will be spending a lot of time just looking for secret passages and whatnot.Took me 5 hours from start to beat the first boss, but once I did it was like beating atheon for the first time.
GOTY contender? Ha, more like GOTY winner.

It's worth a shot! The only reason I'm wary is that From loves dump stats that serve no discernable purpose. Some like strength and skill are sure things, but the advantages of bloodtinge and arcane are less obvious. Definitely not trying to discourage you.
I mean I agree with him, but who is he addressing?
My two major problems with the game:
- the loading times, obviously (but that has been discussed to death)
- the fact that your blood vials don't get refilled at the bonfire-lantern thing/after death
Especially that last thing is getting really f***ing tedious and is spoiling my enjoyment of the game. I just died JUST before finishing a boss off, and had used up all of my blood vials. I've respawned now, with ZERO vials in my inventory. Zero. I have to buy some at the merchant in the Dream Area, but, oh wait, I have no blood left since I died. So, basically, every time you die, you have to grind blood to be able to buy your estu- ehr, blood vials to be able to continue the game normally.
(The irritation is exacerbated by the extra loading times of having to go back to the Dream World to buy the damn things as well.)
This is not adding difficulty; this is adding mindless grinding. Frustrating and, most importantly, not fun.
Great game otherwise, but this is making trying bosses somewhat depressing. The fear is not in not knowing how to tackle these behemoths, but in knowing that dying will mean boring grinding again. Blergh.
I did not expect all 20 of my blood vials to be refilled every time I die, but 10 would be nice (read: better and more fair game design). Or just 5, for f***'s sake.
P.S. Sometimes I DO regain a handful of vials upon death, which is weird. Does anyone know the logic behind this?

So how is this for people who didn't get into the Souls games due to difficulty? Review scores have piqued my interests.
