Why? Technical shortcomings aside, it might be FromSoft's most perfect game to date. The only thing that would benefit this game would be improved performance and higher resolution. That said, amazing game. Can't wait for it to get the Demon's Souls remaster treatment.
I was thinking the same.I swear to god, this game turns 10 every month it seems lol.
Because I don't think anything less will be well received. It will be sold at $70, and people will be wondering why it's not at the level of the DS remake which sold for $70.Why? DeS on the other hand was a rough experiment of a game, so a remake was reasonable (though that it was a total success is a discussion for another time).

Bloodborne turns 20 in 10 yearsExpecting a "Bloodborne turned 10 last month" thread in April.
Eh? From Soft owns the IP for Sekiro, Activision only published itSony HAS to make a sequel. Microsoft has the Sekiro IP. It would be so cool if they both made good games from those games. No remaster please, I platinumed/%100'd the game and a remaster would depreciate my precious trophies. I refuse to platinum Fallout 4 for PS5; PS4 was enough - my last trophy was the shitty chuck e cheese amusement park arcade one where you had to buy tokens(with paper money - which the trophy guides failed to mention, luckily I like to collect stuff in-game) and shoot moving targets. The grind. My f'ing hands and wrists after using that weird espresso machine assault rifle. Good thing I have such a supple wrist(knock on wood).

Eh, the textures on the ground and walls show their age. Wouldn't mind seeing it getting a proper remake. Why? Technical shortcomings aside, it might be FromSoft's most perfect game to date. The only thing that would benefit this game would be improved performance and higher resolution.

That's such a shallow view. And what's the benefit though? No matter how good the developers are, if it's not the original studio, it will be an interpretation that's bound to miss the mark in some way. Nier Replicant I reckon got it right, and that is because they had several of the original developing team involved.Eh, the textures on the ground and walls show their age. Me? Perfectly happy buying a BB remake by Bluepoint, should they make it.
That's fine. But you've only presented your opinion and that hardly makes for good discussion. So, do you have any arguments for why you'd be fine with it? I've already made a case for my position.Don't buy it, then.

I do not intend to argue with you. I just think that I found the Demon's Souls remake a vast improvement over the original, I think that Bloodborne has a lot of room for improvement graphics/animation wise, and I would love to see a developer who elevates (for the most part) original games like Bloober or Bluepoint give their shot at BB. Remaster it to keep the purists happy and remake it for folks like me.That's fine. But you've only presented your opinion and that hardly makes for good discussion. Its pathetic that we got remasters of Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone and Bloodborne is still stuck with 1080p and 30fps with framepacing and shitty chromatic aberration.
Life is unfair sometimes man
Damn, time flies
One of my buddies got the game on release day. We were supposed to hit the gym and then head to a party, but we ended up ditching our plans and just played for days instead
At the time, I knew about FromSoftware but never gave their games a shot because they had a reputation for being brutally difficult
Oh how things have changed lol
10 years later you finally hit the gym.
Of course it's a business decision. There's no artistic reason to rerelease a 10 year old game. But people have been clamouring for them to do something with it for years now and at this point just saying "It's now capped at 60fps(no dips!), running at 1440p!" isn't going to cut it. Hardcore fans of the game have played Bloodborne in its current state multiple times. Fromsoftware games are mainstream now, there is no "narrow audience". There's the Elden Ring audience. Sony are probably looking at those numbers on PS and PC and salivating at the potential addressable market for a new Bloodborne game.So you base this idea not on what would benefit the game itself, but what would be beneficial business wise. Meaning, pandering to a broader audience is preferred to doing something for a narrower audience. But for whom? For FromSoft, for more casual fans or for the biggest fans of the game? Definitely not for the fans of the game, and definitely not for the game in an artistic sense. It is already levels beyond both OG DeS and the remake as far as I'm concerned, in all but technical shortcomings.
So to convince me, you'd have to refute me by arguing that the game could be presented even better in a remake.
Then again, do you really not think that a polished release on current consoles, maybe even Switch 2 when it's released, which would be less costly resource wise compared to a full remake, wouldn't be a success business wise?
