M O O N.........that spells fun.

Thanks for the news, but I personally haven't booted up Curse of the Moon 1 because it's not something I wanted. I just wanted a playable Bloodstained for the Switch and to this day I can't play it without being annoyed at the current level of quality.

Its'playable' now, nowhere near the other versions of course, but the controls are responsive, less bugs and image quality much better

I eventually returned Ritual of the Night (the 2.5D game) but loved Curse of the Moon (the 8-bit game). You should give Curse a shot!

Dude holy shit day one for me.

This was my first Kickstarter and as a huge Castlevania fan I never dreamed the results would have been so good. The 8-Bit pre game was amazing almost worth the whole Kickstarter itself. I loved the main Bloodstained as well, the perfect HD follow up to the DS Vanias.

Now this? A sequel to the amazing 8-bit first game? Lord almighty that's an embarrassment of riches.

Inti Creates are rock stars in my book. I loved the Blaster Master Zero games as well, and I know Mega Man 9 and 10 were well-received.

I realize this is deviating from my own topic but has anyone played the Gunvolt games that would recommend any of those in particular?

Curse of the Moon was fantastic and I'm really enjoying Ritual of the Night on my new PC right now. Always up for more Classicvania-type games!

Inti Creates can do no wrong in this area.

Awesome news. Curse of the Moon is one of the best games in its genre, easily one of my favorite games from these last years. Highly recommended.

I will def get this asap. But isn't it strange that this is coming out before basically zero of the dlc for the other game released. There is supposed to be a lot lol

YES! I really, really like the first game. I replayed it so many times in different way, I loved it.

If you're really good at Megaman games, then the Azure Gunvolt Striker pack is a nice value. Reason I say good is because if you don't get hit and increase your score meter you get awesome music. But I never get that music because I suck. The young me would've mastered this in a heartbeat :(

What really like about Curse of the Moon is how different way you can playthrough the game. You can play normally and recruit everybody or recruit none them or even kill them all to get powers. Each playthrough can be very different based on what you do and the game is short enough to make multiple playthroughs painless and fun, I'm hoping this gonna be true for 2nd game as well.

I played through it three times because of this. Smart way to increase replayability.

They did finally release Zangetsu and the Randomizer mode last month for free. There's still a lot more coming though and they updated the roadmap.

Yacht Club took YEARS to complete all the stretch goals for Shovel Knight, and Treasure Trove in its entirety is massive compared to to original release.

I think Ritual it the Night won't be that extreme for WayForward but it's still a ways off from completion. Doubt we'll even hear about a sequel until next year.

This is such unexpected but awesome news. I'm a little surprised they decided to do a CotM sequel before a RotN sequel.

I was excited for both games but due to earlier bugs and patches needed for RotN I just went ahead and played CotM. Gotta say I'm thrilled about this. Inti is killing it and I almost look at this "side game" as the better game of the series. Biased as I didn't play RotN but still.

I played both and they were both great in their own ways. The first one if you are a fan of CV3 and the second if you are a fan of SOTN. Luckily I love both so both were great. I played both on PC though so no performance issues.

based on the trailer and based on your experience with both do I need to play RotN before CotM2? Looks like all new set of characters in this one.

TBH I didnt follow the story like at all LOL. But i looked online once and it seems that COTM was in the end kind of a side story/spin off even from RotN, and not "cannon" so I dont think it really matters.

Last summer I played Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night back to back (Castlevania Requiem) maybe I should do the same this year, with both Bloodstained games (I've had them for a while, but I've yet to play them)

This is great news.
The visuals are a bit odd since they aren't really 8 bit and aren't quite 16 bit, but it still looks great. I kind of wish they went for a full 16 bit sequel, but I'm sure that would have driven up cost and development time.

Bought this today. Could've waited since I still have to finish Ritual of the Night, but I want to support the developer at full price.

Played the first stage. Just like the first Curse of the Moon, this game is bliss if you like Classicvania.

Also, the "next stage" screen is reminiscent of Dracula's Curse. All the better. Love it. Will always love it.

I just watched all the secret levels, bosses and endings.

It's confirmed.... Curse of the Moon > Ritual of the Night

There's more wackiness here than in most Castlevania games.

This is the best new IP of this decade and last year so far. No question.

Get ready. You're in for a real treat and things you honestly won't even expect to happen. Like serious "wtf" moments.

Just beat everything in the game and man did they knock it out of the park again. Some small tidbits that could be improved upon, but they've built a solid foundation for the series and can't wait for more.

Really enjoying the game but I feel that a few places are a bit harder than the previous game.

Completed two episodes for now.
