Blue Shadow, anyone?

Checking the rare old school games topic (http://www.ga-forum.com/showthread.php?t=71902) I realised that none mentioned or commented on Blue Shadow (except me, that is). It´s one of my fave games of all time and probably my fave from the NES days, but I don´t see any love here, which is disapointing to say the least. I played it forever with my brother back in the days. Great and responsible controls, good level design, fast paced action, expandable weapons and a very well balanced difficulty. Add an extraordinary two players mode and there you have a winner.

(everything I´ve found :-/ )

So, does anyone else remember this game?

PD: I´ve never waitied for a sequel like I did with this game. Still I´m waiting to this day :-/

Weird...was expecting something about Nick Rox here.

Anyway, Shadow of the Ninja, as it is called in the US, was fricken great. That and S.C.A.T. were some nice tech pieces from Natsume back in the day.

My favourite game of NES, of course I remember it, awesome game.

I put it into PSP whwn NES emulator was released and is as good now as it was all that years ago. The graphics are so simple and stylish that the game stands very well, when other 8 bits games looks horribles right now.

The kid next door had it and we played it for weeks trying to beat it. Sadly we never did, still it was a great game. Looking at the lower left pic reminds me of how great that boss was, or for that matter every single boss in the game - yeah, even the sailor who fell to his knees in agony when you beat him at the end of the first level.

Apart from the cool weapons, which you could power up (the chain was my favorite), at the age of nine i thought the way the ninjas shimmied and flipped when jumping up looked extremely bad ass.

Never owned the game myself, but I often played it at my firends place. The game is indeed fun and has one of the most kickass soundtracks on the NES.

hm...i picked this up a couple years ago cos i'm a big fan of natsume's snes games, but i couldn't really get into it. i should give it another chance.
