Its an ODB11, not sure if they have them for all cars but the one I had worked for VW/Audi.

You could purchase 'coins' on your phone and use them to 'buy' mods.

You could change up the way your taillights blinked when using the blinker, change the background of your display and such.

I would change up my lights from time to time and used mine to turn off that fake engine sound VW does. Also turned off my 'doors open ding' and seat belt warning ding and light.

my current car is getting run into the ground and will be scrapped for pennies when i'm done with it. i ain't buying another car.
 
You thought this was bad, BMW is now adding public shaming for expired warranty to the list of 'perks' for owners.

This is absolutely the future. I work with these car manufacturer's financial arms and these people were talking all sorts of Orwellian shit they planned to do with this company called Neustar to track you down based upon contextual data like any email addresses they think you've ever used, old phone numbers, employers, etc. And both the republicans and democrats recent turns at power with the CFPB did nothing to curtail that sort of behavior.
