In my opinion these two men are the greatest song writers of all time. But who do you believe is the better of the two?

I would have to go for Bruce Springsteen. His great songs (Born To Run, Thunder Road, The River) are all driven by characters deeper than thos in most movies. You can relate in some way to alsmost all of his songs and their themes are always relevent.

I forgot to post my favourite Boss lyric,

The length and breadth of Dylan's body of work is much more impressive. Plus he parodied Springsteen's ridiculous character-driven songs with "Tweeter and the Monkey Man."

Well for starters, Dylan doesn't suck.

Why must one person "suck" while the other does not "suck"? There are no absolutes when it comes to judging art. If you don't like a particular musician you should say "his music does not appeal to me". You can't throw out an absolute "sucks" title for something like this. In the future, please try and keep musical opinions to either "I enjoy this musician" or "I do not enjoy this musician".

Dylan's voice sucks.

Both are good song writers, but Dylan is better and more influential.

All in all, I don't particularly like either.

Both are great song writers. I think that is undeniable. It's difficult to decide who is "better" as art is a very subjective thing. I'm a much bigger Springsteen fan than I am a Dylan fan, but I recognize the genius that is Bob Dylan, and the influence that he has had on Springsteen, although I think it has also gone vice versa over the years some. But still, Bruce has often said that Dylan is one of his biggest influences.
