Hudson Soft has just announced that Bomberman: Panic Bomber on PSP will leave on next 23 June to Japan at the price 3.800 yens. It would act this time of a play of reflexion similar to Tetris which will be able player with several via a multijouor mode up to 4 using the technology of Game Sharing, i.e. which the play contained on only one UMD could be transferred on other consoles PSP. Bomberman: Panic Bomber should also propose four modes of play whose three solo modes which are the ' COM Attack' in which it will be necessary to face the machine, the ' Attack' Score to carry out the best result, and the ' Attack' Challenge which will contain around fifty of mini-plays.

Nice to see multiplayer gameshare finally materialize (wish it could've happened for DarkStalkers, Ridge Racer and Lumines though). Also, I take it this is the old Bomberman puzzle spinoff (Panic Bomber) rather than a true Bomberman?

Bomberman DS~ 8 player wireless, single card
Bomberman: Panic Bomber~ 4 player wireless, single disc

Keep in mind though that Panic Bomber is a Tetris style dropping puzzler rather than an overhead action game like most Bombermans.

Panic Bomber was originally released on Neo Geo in 1994 and developed by Eighting. Hudson later ported it to PC Engine Super CD, Super Famicom and Virtual Boy.

I've got Panic Bomber for Virtual Boy, and it has nothing at all to do with bomberman aside from the bombs that fall with the puzzle pieces to clear away some of the mess. It's kinda like puyo I guess.

What a waste :(

Conventional Bomberman on that screen would have been great. All they needed to do was take Saturn Bomberman and re-jig it for widescreen. The PSP's screen would have even handled the Hi-Ten 10-player mode fine as well.

And as puzzle games go, Panic Bomber isn't that good in the first place. Puyo Puyo kicks it's arse.

This is my favorite Virtual Boy game! It didn't take advantage of the console at all, but it was so addictive!

Sounds like it'll be the same story for PSP (well, everything but the favorite game part).

Hopefully Panic Bomber doesn't jinx it into oblivion like it did the laser-hat.

awesome, can't wait.

I've made it a point to collect every single Bomberman game (actual physical game cart or CD and rom file) that I can.

Aaaaaaaw. Hi-Ten Bomberman! I once played it at Hudson HQ on a huge screen in Sapporo. It was the greatest Bomberman experience evar.
