Fixed. That movie competes with Leprechaun 5: Leprechaun In the hood as one of the worst experiences in the history of modern cinema.

Damn, sarcasm comes off crappy on the intranet

For a second, I thought you were talking about the anime production company, Studio Bones.

I was about to bring an armed mob against you :D

"I designed this amazing holographic system that will input every single parameter related to a crime, reconstruct images and scenes based on the evidence (even though we normally don't deal in homicides), and display in it with high tech holo-emitters! By the way, I designed it myself!"

It's a bad CSI rip

Yeah, it's not all that good. I'll probably end up watching a handful of episodes just because it's on before House, but there are a list of things that are already painful. The hologram(an obvious attempt to work in a recreation of the crime to the actual plot, and trying to do something other than the CSI hazy flashback shit), her "I don't get that" repeated about three dozen times so far(we get it, she's out of touch with people and popular culture), and the music that's placed in to make scenes nothing but awkward. Weird acoustic guitar ballad while she's piecing together a skull with elmer's glue? Okay then.

Actually I think Leprechaun 5 is In the Hood 2.

EDIT : Now I'm not sure. IMDB lists it as "back 2 the hood" which suggests sequel but I don't think I'm right. It really doesn't fucking matter though :lol

I didn't like Bones at all. I love Fox, but I thought it was slow and pretty poorly done. I don't see the show going 6 weeks. Of course, I'll have to see the ratings for tonight and next week to see.

Fox very rarely keeps shows on that get poor ratings. I am thankful they are bringing Arrested Development back for a third season.

House, on the other hand, was awesome.

supernatural seems like its gonna be anice guilty pleasure......eventhough the acting sucks, im a sucker for these type of shows.

Damn, I missed it. For some reason I fell asleep at around 5pm and didn't wake up until the last 10 minutes of House. :(

I don't understand what is so amazing about house. It's the same thing every episode: Person with weird symptoms walks in, they think they figure it out, then not, house says something sarcastic, he sees a patient in the clinic, thinks they figure it out again, then not, then someone says something that turns on a lightbulb in House's head.. says something sarcastic again, and they finally figure it out. Close it with some nice CGI, and we're done. Maybe its just my hatred for shows like CSI and Law and Order poking through, but I just don't get why a show so formulaic is heralded as the greatest show on television. I wouldn't call it a bad show, but to me its just another mediocre medical show.

i've never seen the show, but i swear to god every fucking commercial for each week's episode looks exactly the same.

Leprechaun 5 was funny as shit though. The part where Ice-T pulls the baseball bat out of his afro is priceless. Its definitely one of those movies thats so bad its good.

Well for once the commercials don't lie. Its the same fucking thing every fucking episode.

Bones fucking sucks.

What a shame to see David go from one of the best shows on tv in years to this shit.

Supernatural's first episode was pretty kickass, though. It has a lot of potential. And Jensen Ackles kicks ass.

WB is more likely to give a show like that a chance. I bet even Firefly would have survived for at least a full season over there.

Don't count on it, Firefly had a huge budget for a TV series. I'm not even sure it'd got on the air through them without alot of cuts.

Thanks for the heads up. I was going to check this show out because of all the hype, but now I have no urge to at all.

I also can't stand CSI, what a bunch of bull sh!t. The sh!t they come up with is just ridiculous. I wouldn't be surprised if they had an ice cube finger print detector, or a damn time machine in upcoming episodes.

Because it deals in rare diseases/disorders/problems. Sure its somewhat formulaic in structure, but each case is really interesting and its fun playing along trying to figure out what the cause is or what's wrong with the people. Its not "oh, another shotgun wound" or "hey, this guy needs emergency brain surgery!" Besides that, and what is more important, is the good writing, House-isms, and GREAT characters. Can't think of any that I hate (unless you're supposed to be hating them...).

I thought the show was pretty good in terms of dialouge, pacing, photography, and writing. It fails on the logical side and the hologram thing was very stupid though. How do they afford that huge modern building to store the skeletons?

I just cant stand its formulaic structure. Also, I find it hard to believe that this team would get so many rare diseases/disorders. Unless I'm wrong, they work at a normal hospital. So why are they constantly getting all these impossible to diagnose diseases? It just seems very unlikely to me. I don't think its a bad show, but anyone who calls it the greatest show on television is just wrong. It should be on the shelf with all the other medical shows. I know a lot of people like shows to follow the same formula every episode, which is why there are 3 CSIs, and 18 law and orders, but it just bores me to death.

I always *hated* the idiotic fake-computer interfaces, software, technology, and such that we see on TV shows set in the contemporary real world - they seem to exist only for the benefit of Joe Sixpack who doesn't know what DVD is. Therefore, I cringed at all the bullshit in Bones, including the amazing Star Trek level holotank and the geeky science girl casually firing off her own amazing software to generate holograms far beyond the software technology of anything on Earth.

The problem is, it's a classical attitude ingrained in hollywood - you gotta "enhance" the real world with flashy, cheap, carnival glitz to wow and woo the Common Man, who is a slack-jawed neanderthal. It's why, when you really examine it, American movie and television productions have drifted so far away from reality in all the fine details. Ever notice how when a person must destroy a computer in a movie or TV show, they tend to throw or smash just the monitor? I bet by this point, stupid ideas are so ingrained that a lot of screen writers themselves think the monitor is part of the computer with the "memory banks".

There are some problems with House MD that make it hard to like if not overlooked. Dr. House is head of his own department which specializes in hard cases, which is fine, but he and the 3 doctors do almost EVERYTHING themselves. It's basically a 6 person hospital as far as House is concerned, which also moonlights as a investigative unit or a CDC unit at times. Next is the immunity to litigation. This is kinda easy to overlook since otherwise there'd be no show, and House can't be his delightfully asshole self. Then there are various medical gaffes that range from the obvious to stuff only doctors would know. ...and yes, it frequently but not always dips into its formula bin.

Despite all that, I love the show.

House is the best show in TV, BAR NONE babyy!!!

I don't know if it's the same for Americans, but I saw an episode of this the other day, and I just can't get over the fact that he's played by Hugh Laurie. It's just wrong...

The first episode of Bones was poor. It was cheesy, formulaic (did anyone else cringe at some of Bones' staff members?), poorly paced, and simply boring.

House was pretty good. :)
