How do you take someone's back from a sprawl? I've never been able to do that. Congrats again.

When I was at Renzo's, this is the way they taught it. You've just sprawled, and you've got him under you. Move your arms to a bodylock (so your hands are clasped under his stomach/lower chest). From there, drive your weight on one of his shoulders as you circle out in that direction. Its crucial to keep your weight on that shoulder so he can't move, you want to drive him into the mat with your weight, so keep your feet pushing off the floor as you circle. At some point, your going to have to release the body lock as you circle. I never liked it, I prefer head control, but that was they way they taught it. From there complete the circle and take his back. You can stretch him out from there. I may be mistaken, but I think Neil Adam's shows something very similar on one of his tapes. For sure, he shows great, simple ways to stretch your man out and sink the choke in.

Thanks a lot for the tips, I'll try that out tomorrow.

And I just realized my tips for takedowns are probably worthless. I've never trained Gi jiu jitsu. IDK, a lateral drop would still probably work.
