Good stuff. People love to complain about PC gamers "bitching" about stuff but it usually have positive results (Sony dropped PSN requirements etc.).

I hope the amount of heat will drop this nonsense EULA and i have a free game. Added to the library, although i have the title on X360.

Take 2 gives their top selling basketball game away for free every year, and yet people still buy millions of copies at launch.

They must think we are dumb, and they could be right.

Watch them trying this spyware shit with the GTA 6 iteration of GTA online as well. T2 are just as shitty as the rest of this fucking industry.

But... it's free. Why are PC gamers so damned whiny? Just be happy you get the game at all, ungrateful losers.
PC gamers are already able to risk viruses to get free games. The whole point of buying games from official sources is to NOT get spyware. So they just removed any reason to play the official game. The cracked back-alley version would be safer.

Every product now is acting like Facebook. My experience with meta is at some point in time I'll eventually decide to pull the product out of my life. I don't support products that intentionally thinks it's userbase less perfect than normal people in any shape or form.

If it's not EGS exclusivity it's something like this. Western AAA publishers are retarded. Do they not understand this will have a negative effect on Borderlands 4 later this year?

You would think a man eating a turkey leg at Medieval Times with a USB drive full of pornography would understand the value of privacy

Guess what, any other free service you use is spyware. Instagram, Facebook, heck even this site has Google scripts on it so Google is watching you browsing here(though this site has minimal amounts and much much better than most sites). Lots of websites see where your mouse is pointed and what you are typing.

An ill advised and quite scummy update, but I'm afraid I'm just too tired to be faux outraged about something I played and finished a decade ago.

How much of a dork do you have to be to review bomb an ancient game like this

like move on with your life

Review bombing a 13 year old game :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy: That'll show 'em!
Why not? They turned a kinda cool game into spyware. I bought it, own it, but can't play it because of this shit.

The review bombing is deserved, and I'll think twice before buying anything from T2 because each and every of their games could turn into a virus in the future.

You're never going to play it, just be real about it.

It's still pointless and childish as fuck.

I guess it sucks that it affects some PC people, but I've always seen review bombing as petty, internet crybaby shit.

My dudes wtf, why would you defend this?

Consumers bought a product, product got turned into a virus, consumers complain.

There's nothing wrong with this, consumers have (or should have) all the right in the world to complain about this kind of shitty practices. And it's not pointless, it worked with Helldivers II back when the mandatory psn stuff, and it might work here as well. And if it doesn't, at least it'll leave a huge red mark right there to remind people how shit T2 and Gearbox are when Borderlands 4 releases.

How many things that you bought 13 years ago do you care about? You know where 13 year old games used to end up? In the closet. Now they are on Steam and you can play them which is great but let's put things into perspective.

I am not defending anything, and of course consumers can complain, but I can also say it's a stupid thing for them to waste their time with.

I get you, but 90% of the people that buy Borderlands don't even know that this is occurring. And don't give a shit. I don't think this hurts Gearbox as much as you think it does.

With all these negative reviews, pointing out the malware issues, more and more people are finding out about it.

it might affect the Borderland 4 sales.
Oh it will. PC players don't take this shit lying down.

We complained about EDF6 requiring an Epic account and they removed it despite others calling that fake outrage and not a big deal. "It's just another launcher" bros always out in full force to defend retarded shit.

Some of that Pitchford magic...

spyware seems like a stretch btw but yeah whatever, i don't really care much about an old game i've played many times many years ago

It shouldn't matter if it's and old game or a new game, and I don't think it's a waste of time if this raises awareness about Gearbox and T2 being full of shit.

And I still game on my old Wii lmao.

It's the opposite, you could build an empire out of not giving your consumers what they want like Gacha games.
