Wow what was the point? We all pretty much knew this game existed and the announcement was imminent. I thought they would actually reveal some gameplay or something.

I still say 3, the gameplay was great, it was the Story and Characters and Voice acting that runied it.
Also that Ava is going to be hunted down and the ship taken back. (I hope)

I liked a lot too. Mostly because of the gameplay.
But the story and characters were terrible. I really hope they fixed for this sequel.
Or at the very least, given us an option to skip cutscenes.

The villains were annoying as fuck, way too much focus on shitty Ava, and the nonstop yapping + Borderlands "humor" are getting really insufferable.
I still really enjoyed the hell out of the gameplay but all that other stuff was grating on my nerves the whole time.

They showed Firehawk symbol so Lilith probably back in some form. I really hope the planet does not take place on Pandora again. Go somewhere else please.
The short description on Steam probably implies that we might just be creating a character this time. I'd think a reveal for BL4 would have had more substance and detail. Seems very phoned in.

On BL3 I liked the gameplay but story was garbage and select characters ruined forever. Ultimately BL1 is still the best in the series when it comes to gameplay systems that synergize with each other.
BL2 is also great on the amount of content it has but still BL1 atmosphere reigns supreme IMO.

Disagree VERY much. Going back to 2 after playing 3 shows how much better 2 felt gunwise/movement wise and just overall fun wise than 3. They did something that I can't put my finger on that made 3 feel off.

After a few hours of listening to the incredibly cringe dialog and story, I bounced. Even though I thought the game itself was quite fun.

I could see that, that being said I only got around to playing it late last year and I dunno it just didn't affect me that much? Not saying it wouldn't, but I guess if you've for sure put like 100s of hours into each game you might've reached your limit
I could see that. To me games like this are about the loot treadmill so for me I guess the story and characters served a means to an end, but everyone's different! I was just trying to figure out where some of the polarizing opinions were coming from.
I might have to see that. I'm playing Wonderlands right now and B2 could be a steam deck game.

It plays great on Deck, I played through the Pre-Sequel on it and loved it. (I wish 3 had expanded on pre-sequels gameplay instead of reinventing itself)
