I don't know if Gearbox is trying their hardest to have ugly playable characters, or what, but i can't stand any of them since BL3. Why is it so difficult for them to introduce a character creator in BL? This studio has never heard of improving your main IP.

I don't think that is the case here. This character's theme is purple, ie Purple Friday. I expect the other characters probably have their own themed colors. Other Borderland 4 marketing material and the main art they have shown is Red and Yellow. So while bisexual lighting is a thing, bisexual lighting does not own the color purple and I'm fairly sure this is just the theme color for this character and not a woke dog whistle.

This would be purple if this was bisexual lighting. These are hyper masculine colors and the chick this thread is about bares her midriff for the male gaze. This game is definitely less woke than 3.

Reminds me of Bass/Treble and Super Bass form from Megaman. Down to the Purple Monster companion and the Warlock/Demon form.

The Purple energy is more in line with standard dark and evil looking attacks.

I'm curious if the Eldritch blast looking skill is the green fireball. WoW Chaos Bolt vibes.

Old news. They should probably clarify on more then just a Steam thread IMO. Page 11 on the Pinned Denuvo Megathread. There was confusion if Symbiote was related to the malware that had Kernel level access and it supposedly does not.

I have to admit after watching some previews of this I kind of like what I am seeing. Not that I'll ever buy it day one though mind you as you can just buy these games ultra cheap with all of the extra content a few months (or years) down the line. But I'm definitely not as cynical towards it anymore.

Anyway in order to still get my Borderlands itch I finally started the Pre-Sequel today and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it runs flawlessly from the get-go on PC, with minimal tinkering required. As always I have no idea what's going on with the story or who I am or what I am doing but I kind of love the chill vibes at the start of this game so this is definitely going to be the game to boot up after work for me.

I actually also bought the Super Deluxe Edition of Borderlands 3 today so I might finish two of these and pick up BL4 next year or so. I'm not even that big of a fan of this franchise but you can't deny the looter shooter goodness of these games.

All 2K games going forward will have these, including GTA6 whenever it releases on PC considering all the EULA changes. Though by that time reaches, maybe they'll ditch them.
