  • Borderlands 4's release date has been pushed forward by two weeks.
  • Randy Pitchford says this is because development is progressing well.
  • A Borderlands 4 State of Play is taking place tomorrow.

Cool i guess. Seems Sept to early Oct has release dates for big games, leading me to believe that GTA6 is Mid October to November launch window

My interest in anything this company does fell off a cliff after Borderlands 2.

The vault hunters seem even more lame in this one. And after that last Tiny Tina game, I'm less interested in this.

Yeah I thought TTW was surprisingly light on content and just didn't hit the way I thought it would. Like it came out because they needed it to, not because it was everything it could've been eventually. Oh well

The guy is such a moron and a doofus… surely with all the cross-communication and coordination he knew what he was doing posting it so early. There's no way he didn't know what he was doing. Cannot stand that guy, far from the first (and last) time he's pulled shit like this.

There are things here:

1. Yes it's a little stale
2. Yes the humor was removed in the last game
3. Yes the gunplay is mediocre compared to a game like Destiny 2
4. Yes the story is pure afterthought shit and went woke last time a bit
5. And yes we know you hate Randy

I still find these games fun and I don't even like FPS. Of all the campaign style shooters, this is my fav. It blends humor and spectacle well. The skill trees remind me of WoW. I'm a Borderlands Enjoyer and I'm tired of pretending I'm not. Nothing needs to be shown. We know what this is already. It's gonna be fine. Rare day 1 for me and my bro most likely. The game is mindless fun to me and not in the same way as Destiny 2. It's just good easy clean fun that is easy to understand with clear upgrade paths and not too serious humor. For people who feel comfortable behind these sticks, it's a nice game to play every few years and it mixes it up. Sure I've played it a long time ago but I don't play much of it now so I can stand a new one every few years. I skipped the spinoffs so I can't comment on those but I did feel that if I played one of them I may be burned out for the next main game, so I'm glad I skipped.

Bungie has lost the plot, Marathon isn't genuine but I'll like it from Mirror's Edge pov. Borderlands 4 btw isn't trying to be something else.

Yeah, Borderlands 3 was unbearable in terms of the characters, jokes, writing, and voice acting.

Painfully unfunny to the point where me and my friends couldn't even play co-op.

I guerss we will find out but I hope they came to their senses and realized that Borderlands 3 is the worst written game of all time and that was an active impediment to enjoying it.

Borderlands feels like Gearbox's "break glass in case of emergency" franchise they churn out after they release a flop, but honestly, I feel like the series has been on a downward trajectory for the last decade, combine that with next-gen development costs, it can't be sustainable can it? I can see this seriously under-performing and putting Gearbox in the precarious position of needing to come up with a hit original IP.

Writing was so bad in the third one, I think I only made it a couple hours.

Randy badly needs a new hairstyle.

Please make Battleborn 2.

Wrong.

Nobody knew Borderlands would get a sequel, the deserts, the cool trailers, everything about the art style, crazy vaults and looting, the rambling weird dialogue so anything after is just extra, bonus.

Regarding BL3, it's a 91 on metacritic, released during COVID-19, and is a giant fun ride with good bosses.

so you are saying the low IQ woke idiots who write for game journalist sites liked Borderlands 3?

Yes.

2 is certainly better than 3, but 3 is a great game nonetheless.

That's funny name calling, good one.

I think I just got an idea, name one thing wrong with borderlands 3 and I'll dispute it.
I didn't call you a name, unless you write for video game sites.

I already said it. The writing is the worst ever in video games. I actually liked the gameplay but the writing was so obnoxious it ruined it.

Neither are game of the year alternating games but hear me out, we should be glad the first borderlands even got a sequel and for the life of me seeing these negative useless posts on BL4 is terrible, we should be celebrating a game getting an earlier release date.

Regarding a shooters story, it's a typical story, with good alien planets, 20+ missions and a cheesy boss, so have some realistic expectations.

I really enjoyed the first one, second one, pre sequel as well but 3......nah. Sure, it was fun to play but I don't remember any of its characters, none were funny. Actually the opposite. Especially so the villains. We'll see about this.

But it's interesting that this could mean GTA VI does indeed release this year, after all.

GTA6 incoming boys! Only logical reason is to give both games room to breath. November is GTA TIME BABYYYY

Literally every character is a horrible annoying obnoxious joke of a character
