This is actually pretty easy to explain.
It's been documented that terrorists often end up partaking in the vices of the target nation, so as to not draw any attention to them. So they drink, they sleep around with women, they are progressive, educated, not at all religious - and then they bomb stuff.

And people are left wondering why these seemingly decent folk attacked the nation they seemingly loved.

Every passing minute, I become more and more astounded he hasn't been caught yet. Fucker just drove through the police last night in a car and disappeared. How can that happen?

The most wanted man (maybe ever, other than 9/11) in America jacked a car, told the guy he was the bomber, ditched him (unharmed), murdered a cop, stole a cop car, was chased by a shitload of cops, got into some kind of shootout, fled on foot. 100's of cops, the FBI, other federal agencies, state police are all there, everyone in the area knows what he looks like, and they still haven't found him yet.

And by all accounts he's just a 19 year old kid. Its really astounding.

Edit: I guess we don't know he fled on foot, since some are saying he drove over his brother on his way out. But still.

Actually they find that a lot of children of successful parents who turn to Islam become radicalized. Its like they feel guilt or anger at the disparity of their lives from the causes they favor, and start blaming Western culture for all it's failings and weaknesses and turning away from religion.

It used to happen on those muslim message boards, turning college students and doctors kids. Get them while they're young and conflicted and still prone to taking reckless action..

Someone had to have contacted them and convinced them.
