I'm worried about that too. There was a decent time between when they were first spotted and when they started the perimeter. I hope he didn't run for it and make it out of there before they secured it.

If I'm not mistaken (I didn't have a lot of time to read everything):
One suspect dead, he shot one police officer (dead) and died after an explosive device attached to his body went off. (He died in the hospital)
The other one is on the run. I'm not sure if the police had him in his sights.
Not sure what the car chase was about.

Well a lot of gaffers were 100% certain. I hope they realise how wrong they were. I also hope they stay away from future facial recognition threads in the future. Truely baffling how they just toyed with the image of a missing kid who clearly didn't look like the suspect (if you have normal working eyes).

They had detained some people that fit the suspect's description. Police will be extra jumpy from here on out.
Yes there was a decent amount of time between when they saw him and when the perimeter went up.

Well if one of his friends can post in her twitter account claiming that it is him, then there must be enough physical similarities to fool her. But she might have been so shocked that she might have not been thinking things through clearly when she saw the photos.
We don't know if that explosive is what killed him. He had many shots in him as well. We don't know if the attached explosive is what went off either. They were apparently throwing explosives. You can hear at least one in a video online.

Wherever he went he had to go on foot. He could not be far.
They likely have to clear houses for bomb threats regardless. Also, someone can be a suspect without being THE suspect.

First day of Finals cancelled at Northeastern University...it's safe over here, though. I think they closed the campus moreso because of the MBTA.
It's weird, feels like there was a few times where they got super close but the guy just vanished (like when they were about to call a pursuit on foot).
