yea he is a young kid, his brain chemistry/personality/morals can still change significantly. so he needs to spend the next decades looking at pictures of his victims and meeting with top psychologists whose only mission is to make him realize how wrong he was.

and if/when he learns that he was wrong and starts to feel remorse, that'll be his punishment.. no one will forgive him, he will just feel emotional torment and self-hatred for the rest of his life with no possibility of ever getting out of his cell.

would be setting a great example. if he instead dies as a "martyr" then he and his terrorist buddies have won.. the cops should do everything humanly possible to try and get him alive. snipe him with a taser bullet (do they make such things? lol) or something that incapacitates him for a good while.

or get him alive to question him about the whole attack and if he has any other associates.

Is rehabilitation a possibility in terms of reintegrating with society? No. Is rehabilitation possible in terms of genuine remorse, outreach to victim's family, and a sense of guilt about the action? Yes--and not uncommon in long-term prison sentences (Lee Boyd Malvo, for example)

Being honest that wasn't my intention, I don't think he can change.


But we need to know if they aren't part of a bigger cell, if they did it on their own or someone said they have to do it, why and how they all get these stuff and from where are more important IMO

I just hope the cops break out the windows of the house, gather up every police dog in the region, and just send them all in en masse. Like 100 dogs going in at once to dog him down.

Summary:

For those waking up here is the summary of what happened in Boston overnight. Attempted to rob 7-11, they killed an MIT police officer, hijacked a car, stole a police vehicle, threw explosives out of window during chase, got into firefights in neighborhood, one of them died from being shot to death by the cops and a bomb vest going off(suspect 1), and the other is hiding and there's supposedly bombs planted all over the place(suspect 2) .

This was the DA statement and press conference earlier, may be off since I just jotted it down, but is generally what I heard across those sources:
