I just realised we didn't hear Froch's girlfriend once during this fight!
The bookies got it very wrong! Easiest 50 quid ever.
Bute didn't know how the fuck to get away from a straight right hand.
He better not ever fight Ward either.

Hold on, did the ref wave the fight off and then change his mind and try to administer a count?

It looked that way, but I think he was saying the ropes held him up.. you can give a count at that point. He actually stopped it when Bute's corner tapped him and said "enough".
I believe that he believed that Bute was injured enough to offer a count, but he was being held up against Foche and the ropes, and could not collapse. so he broke it up to start a mandatory 8-count, then he saw Bute was in pieces so he stopped the fight.
I haven't been this shocked by a boxing match since Mayweather's sucker punch win over Ortiz. I just can't believe this.

Damn one of my all time favorite fighters. RIP Champ.
Terrible day for boxing. RIP Tapia...
Just as awful... Paul Williams was in a motorbike accident. Possibly paralyzed from the waist down.

ATLANTA (AP) Paul Williams' manager says the boxer has been paralyzed from the waist down after being involved in a motorcycle crash in the Atlanta suburbs.
George Peterson told The Associated Press that Williams is expected to have surgery Wednesday and has been listed in serious but stable condition on Monday at an undisclosed hospital.
He says the crash happened Sunday morning in Marietta after Williams tried to avoid another car that was negotiating a curve. He says the motorcycle went up an embankment and he was thrown from the bike, severing his spinal cord after falling on his back and head. Williams was to attend his brother's wedding Sunday afternoon.
Peterson says Williams was scheduled to fight Saul Alvarez on Sept. 15 in Las Vegas but that event has been canceled.
Lem: Williams' manager: Williams is in an excellent frame of mind, but has been told he will never walk again #boxing
"I heard about it yesterday morning. We had been in D.C. training, and so that's where I was," said Peterson. "Paul's brother was getting married at about 5 p.m., and Paul was down there for the wedding."
Peterson conveyed Williams' discription of the accident to RingTV.com.
"Paul said he was riding his bike, and he and this car were going around a curb. Paul had the outside lane, and the car had the inside lane," said Peterson.
"But the car, Paul noticed, couldn't make the turn without coming over into his lane. So Paul tried to give him room that he would need so that he could avoid from getting hit. That's when he noticed an on-coming car."
Peterson said Williams swerved to elude the opposing vehicle.
"Paul had the choice of hitting the oncoming car head-on, or to go across the highway and down the embankment and down the roadway about a hundred feet," said Peterson.
"Paul landed on his back, and that severed his spinal cord. As a result of that, he was paralyzed from the waist down."
Peterso said that Wednesday's operation is intended to allow Williams to "use his upperbody, such as his arms, his hands and his neck and so forth," adding, "surgery is to be done on Wednesday."
"Paul still believes. You know, Paul is all about coming back from adversity," said Peterson. "So Paul still believes that he will be back. He's not convinced that this is the end for him. Not at all."
He was going to into this curb with this car that had the inside lane, Paul had the outside lane. Apparently the guy who was in the car was on his cell phone or something, but he drifted off into Paul's lane. Paul actually moved over to keep himself from hitting this car that was coming into his lane. Paul looked up and had this oncoming car coming down the road already. Paul said that if he didn't go completely across the roadway, he would have hit that oncoming car head on. He went completely across the roadway to keep from hitting this car head on, went down the embankment and when he came up he was about 60 feet in the air. The motorcycle went one way and he went the other. He must have flew airborne in the air about 100 feet. And when he came down, he came down on his back. And when he came down on his back, it severed his spinal cord.
When that happened, of course, after having MRIs and X-rays, it was determined that he wouldn't be able to have any body movements from the waist down because he had detached 90% of his spinal cord. So that other 10% left is what controls his upper body movement, his arms and his neck. So now what happens is, they are going to have surgery when the swelling goes down on his back to protect and stabilize that part of what's left of his spinal cord.
No chance. No chance.
Paul told me after I left the hospital room today....he said 'Pete, that means I'm going to have to do standup comedy again.' He said 'Pete, don't believe none of that stuff, I'll be back.' I was there for about eight hours yesterday and today.
Do you really believe that? You heard it here first.
Do you really believe that?
I was mainly asking if he truly believes that we "heard it here first."He's got a good chance, the headbutt machine is a game fighter.
LOL Boxing result: unintentional clash of heads in round 2, technical draw.
That would be ruled a No Contest. But yeah, a clash of heads is a very likely event given that Bradley tends to rush inside head first.
