Holy shit at overpowering his parents that young.

That has to be an exaggeration right?

Got me thinking about baby modifications and how you could tinker with your result pre delivery so you have a modified baby coming out with the set of eyes you "ordered" and how tall they'll be. With babies learning and developing faster that could speed up civilization and teachings

:( this 1 year old has more facial hair than I have ever had.

I'm wondering if maybe I might have hormone imbalance?

Anyone else can't grow facial hair as a male?

What does brain development of a 12 year old mean? This kid is mentally 12? Like he can speak already at age 1?

His brain has developed the cognitive abilities of a 12 years old. Unfortunately, all that knowledge that take 12 years to fill did not occur. In terms of intelligence he's still very much an infant.

And it's fascinating.
Delayed puberty is one of the defining differences between humans and most other animals. I'm sure there are untreated cases of this that have been studied to show just what we get out of this difference.

I had slower-than normal hair growth due to Hemochromatosis not being caught, has secondary effects on your testosterone levels. (Since getting it fixed, suddenly I've got stubble a year later.)

Trick was that my levels looked normal prior to diagnosis.

The stupid emoji's on that article pissed me off. The story is really sad. Poor kid. Whenever bad shit happens to kids it just wrecks me anymore.

Holy cow, that's at 1? That's pretty insane.

If he has the brain development of a 12 year old, does that mean he can actually think with the same capacity that a 12 year old can (without, presumably, language since he wouldn't have been taught how to speak yet)? So he can think, theoretically, on the same level as a 7th grader?

While being stuck in a toddler's body?

Must be terrifying.

Unfortunately physical maturity of a brain isn't nessecarily a good thing unless it's under normal development. Your brain creates import networks when you're younger and your brain is still growing. In this situation since the brain is no longer growing(thus it's mature) I think he'll be missing some very important foundations, so it's very unlikely he'll ever reach 100% mental capacity.

Every other male in my family had facial hair and I don't. I'm the 6th child (and 5th boy).

I don't have facial hair, my GF could grow more arm hair than me etc. And I never got wisdom teeth etc. And I never felt comfortable competing.

Yeah I'm going to get this checked out.

Poor kid though.
